Horrible crafting luck

I'm trying to make some Exotic Particle Field Exciters. I have L17 science crafting, and my chance to craft an ultra-rare console is 44% with two blue accelerators.

I have attempted crafting this console 8 times now. Each time, it's purple, never ultra-rare. Is something broken with the crafting RNG, or am I just having a particularly lengthy run of terrible luck?

It almost feels like someone has set a "bad luck" flag on my account ;\

    While this isn't a specific response to your Science crafting efforts, it's a very good read -- and might provide some insights on a different approach when trying again...

    Someone I just talked to did a crafting run of 50 consoles, no ultra-rares. Perhaps something is up with the RNG? Has anyone crafted an ultra-rare console (exciter, RCS) in the last few days?

    Sounds like at this point, it would be cheaper to craft the Rare's and then up-grade them to UR.

    Asking if the RNG in an MMO is broken is like asking if water is wet.

    They always have issues, and no one can ever quite get them fixed.

    Well, to be sicere, i havent crafted an UR item in a very long time... So, maybe??

    I think you are better off just going for the mods you want and upgrading to UR and epic.
    Well excuse me for having enormous flaws that I don't work on.
