Special Mission Reward Space Weapons

The game has several unique ship weapon "damage types" that can only be obtained by playing a specific mission and in every case they only offer a limited selection of weapons, not the full spectrum. This has long been a complaint, but before the addition of the upgrade system wasn't really much of an issue since the maximum level you could get these weapons at was Mk XI.

With the upgrade system though these weapons can now be made competitive with even the top level gear I think it would be a good time to give it another look. So Devs would you please add the following list of weapon types to the game?

Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid:
- Dual Beam Banks, Cannons, Turrets, and Dual Cannons

Polarized Tetryon:
- Cannons, Turrets, Dual Cannons, and Dual Heavy Cannons

Dominion Polaron:
- Dual Beam Banks, Cannons, Turrets, and Dual Heavy Cannons

Caustic Plasma:
- Cannons, Dual Cannons, and Torpedoes

Piercing Tetryon
- Beam Arrays, Cannons, and Dual Heavy Cannons

In addition to adding these I think it might be a very nice (not to mention fun) gesture to also add the ability to add a way to unlock the ability to craft 360-degree beam arrays and 90-degree Dual Heavy Cannons in these flavors.

    they are not good. Look again... the blue weapons have NO mods, like the plasma/disruptor weapon has NO mods at all, even though it is blue quality. If you upgraded it to purple you have a whopping 1 mod compared to 3 normally. The same is true of the polaron hybrids and a couple of other mission rewards.


    That aside, I agree with you that the various types should be available in a wider range of items. However, because crafted items are better, it is a waste of time to add in more of the above useless weapons. If they are going to add some, it should be the stuff like caustic plasma that is at least viable.

    It's not that they don't have mods, it's that they don't display that in the case of the Plasma-Disruptor Hybrid and Dominion Polaron weapons or the increased proc chance takes up the "space" of the mods in the case of the Polarized Tetryon weapons.

    Though I like the idea of adding the full set, you wont get CrtDx3, hence they are inferior.

    Plasma-disruptor are already ingame, though its Plasma with disruptor-proc and not disruptor with plasma-proc (though there is a possibility to get that without sacrificing a modifier).
    Polarized tetryon and dominion polaron are also just the same with different primary and secondary type, but everything with tetryon is just a waste, especially if you need to sacrifize a mod for it.

    And I guess they cant generate money with it, hence the implementation seems unlikely.
