Ideal Ground Boff species

I have a load of Bajoran, Trill, Ferengi, Betazoid, Rigelian, Vulcan, and Tellarite Boffs. Plus the Engineer Android, Caitian Tac, Xindi Tac.

Most of them have at least 1 Superior Trait.

Betazoids, Bajorans and Trills are supposed to be great Sci Boffs because of their Superior Creativity.

What species are recommended for Engineering and Tactical? (If there is a recommendation).
I know a lot depends on playstyle, gear, abilities etc.

For Tactical, Caitians/Ferasans, by far. They were tailor-made for Tactical.

For Engineer, Letheans, Nausicaans, Vulcans, Humans, and Joined Trill.

For Science, add Vulcans to that list. As for the Trill, you would get much better results if he was a Joined Trill.

I do have a little tick. I have my humans on ship duty only, and let the Aliens endanger themselves on the ground, And I want one of each species on the team if possible

And I only have males on the ground. I know it is weired. :rolleyes:

Say, we don't have Joined Trills for Boffs, have we?

1: My Starfleet space crew is all Humans. For KDF, my space crew is Nausicaans, a Human, and a Hierarchy. But the reason for that is because their space traits.

2: My entire crews are all male. The only exception is the female Ferasans, which were given to me for free, so I'll go ahead and use them. But I refuse to buy any females because the tailor doesn't have a way to make females look NOT anorexic or pregnant. I want my female officers to look exactly like this, but STO somehow has the idea that all females must be slaves. So yeah, my crews are male-only.

3: Forget about the Joined Trill. I was thinking about player species too, and not just bridge officers. I'm sorry.

4: Another thing I forgot to mention are the Borg. You can buy a Borg Engineer from the C-Store, and the Khitomer STF has a Science Borg who makes a great Medic. Borg have a nanite trait that regenerates shields, and reduces the timers for heals. Their ugliness is irrelevant. Resistance is........Oh nevermind.

Nelen Exile is a nice science boff, because he can reanimate himself and you get him anyway from completing the dyson reputation system. The life-timer android boff is also nice due to the reboot.

I tried Nelen for a while. I don't know if I simply have bad luck, or if he really is stupid enough to not know how to use his own innate abilities, but he never once reanimated himself. That is why I didn't suggest him. But if you can manage to make him reanimate himself, then go for it.
