Played that mission where you meet the Vadwaar for peace talks. One premise is very badly written. 90% people know the dude is going to kill Neelix or something else heinous, so why would we choose to meet him at this civilian station?
Why would your character do something that stupid? You should at least have the option of saying, no lets meet on a dead planet where you can't murder anyone....
No lets meet on a dead planet where you can't murder anyone....
-as a dialogue option, you have to remember that, ultimately, this game is being played from a Federation perspective (even when you're playing as a Klingon or Romulan, unfortunately) and the Federation is all about taking any chance at a peaceful resolution, however seemingly slim.
Also, thanks to Liam O'brien's ever superb voice acting, Gaul actually initially comes off as a somewhat reasonable, if arrogant, fellow. He doesn't really turn up the psychopathy until he starts gunning down Talaxians....
"There will never be enough blood to wash away my need for vengeance! A single world...I could destroy a million worlds and it would not be enough! Your existence is an insult to the memory of my people! I will continue my fight, even if I must fight alone!"
