I've recently got my hands on the Scryer. Its tier 5 trait seems very promising for any science captain - 7.5% exotic damage and shield heal x3 (when using intel or tactical abilities). There is but few bugs I found out after testing how this trait was affecting my abilities. The results were not what I was expecting.
The Loop trait is providing 10% exotic damage so I used this as comparison with the 7.5% Emitter Synergy. The below example is at 130 auxiliary:
TR
- Normal damage: 849 (radiation damage 1156)
- With "ESynergy" (7.5%): 859 (rad 1207)
- With "Loop" (10%): 928 (rad 1264)
GW
- Normal damage: 1338
- With ESynergy"(7.5%): 1363
- With "Loop" (10%): 1464
TBR
- Normal damage: 1557
-With "ESynergy": 1576
- With "Loop": 1703
Not to mention that any other abilities (like TB/CPB/ES) have no change in their radiation damage. Why does it increase the TR radiation but not the others as well?
Anyone else out there that have noticed this? Is this just visual bug?
So far never encountered diminishing returns in any sci powers. (For example if you add more prtg the bonus is fixed by a certain average amount, never reduced like the way resistances are being reduced with neutronium alloy)
Also, updated the post 1 with some more numbers and fixes. Just went online and took them from there.
Like you can notice the difference is really meaningless. I cant understand how 7.5% of 849 is 859...but 10% of 849 to be 928. Something with the formula must be wrong...especially the fact no radiation damage gains a bonus (since it was clearly stated in the deteriorating info that Prtg are increasing the exotic damage of the radiation).
106 views and only 1 comment? Is there nobody else using scryer's trait on other ships or at the scryer that found the damage buff to be either 0(to some radiation) or very small even at 3 stacks?
I did the math and saw discouraging results...and out there some people would pay to get the trait alone and might be disappointed if it's really broken.

Really odd.
