Hit and Run!!!!

So what's the deal with all these "hit and run" posts?

You know the ones I mean. Someone starts a thread. Someone else with a join date of 4 years ago but only 2 posts suddenly jumps in and says the opposite and then never posts again.

Who are they trying to fool?

Guess they have to have backups for their backups and, this way their main doesn't get flagged I guess!

Hey OP, do you mean in those threads where people will seemly post once every 6 months on a big news that is raging through the forums.

Do you mean or are maybe suggesting some people have several accounts so they can get someone to agree with them when they are raging, or saying cryptic are a great company?

Truly, we will never know, I am sure both examples I use have occurred, but i would hope it is very rare.

However look at my post count and join date, I frequently read tons of posts and threads, but very rarely post, alot of times because i dont feel i can add anything to the current discussion.

Burned once too many times from the ME3 forums, ughh, I learned my lesson from that storm :)

Not sure if i qualify as a hit and run by your description or not.

One issue is that most of my posting was two forum systems ago :P Kind of makes my start date to post count rather uninformative at this point having returned to the game.

Could be some people are like that, recently returned to Delta Rising and the system simply is not conveying that fact effectively.

I mean, before we leap directly to conspiracy thinking. :)

Troll accounts have been part and parcel of internet forums since day one. And unless you have an active community management team that's on the ball, and empowered moderators that do something other than simply babysit, they will continue to exist on a given forum.
