I'm not sure if this was an intended nerf or not, but were there any stealth changes to Engineering Team today in the patch?
I ask because prior to the patch, on my Engineer, I had a 16.9K ET 3 on his Odyssey. Today, after the patch, that is barely over 13K. I have changed nothing on the ship between looking at the two numbers.
I'm going to guess it was a nerf. The shotguns got a stealth nerf in last weeks patch. It's really disappointing to spend two weeks grinding for something, then spend Dilithium and EC on upgrading it, all to have it nerfed a couple of days later.

My engi team hasn't changed. Check your traits. They may have become deselected. The amount of repair you lost sounds like someone who was using Techie + Biotech Patch, and deselected the traits.

I haven't touched consoles, BOs, or traits since before DR went live on the character. What I have set, I haven't changed in quite a while. I don't even have the biotech patch thing.

The game may change them for you, it's fond of randomly deselecting DOffs and traits. Also, make sure your Skill are still valid, it has been occasionally messing those up since DR dropped (free respec if they are invalid).

I never had DOffs slotted and I've checked skills and traits. Everything is the same, and everything is valid skill point wise.
The damage or how the damage is based was. My character had one upgraded to Mk XIV (VR) and I was able to one-shot most things. The DPS was listed somewhere around 231 but has now been reduced to under 200. I can't one-shot an NPC now, let alone an actual player anymore with it fully buffed.

You cant one shot stuff with 231 dps or 200 dps. You need alpha strike builds and used in the right to shred mobs in a few seconds.
Also, 231 dps aint sufficient. Even VR MKXII beams which has not been upgraded still does 1k dps per beam array on well built toons/ships even before you apply abilities.
Were they both checked at the same time...ie, after having been in the game/same type of zone for the same amount of time? There are recalculation issues with many things in the game.
You login, look at some numbers. Go do something for 5 minutes or so and come back, look at some numbers. They will be different. Some numbers you can correct by moving a bit, steering a bit. Some numbers can be corrected by reslotting gear. Some by hitting Ground and going back to Space. Some numbers get goofed up again depending on the zone you've moved to and how you moved there. Dying can goof up the numbers, needing them to be recalculated again - either by reslotting, moving, or whatever is necessary to force that particular calculation matter to resolve. Some buffs linger, some affect how other things are calculated and when the buff wears off you have different numbers than when you started.
There are all sorts of calculation things there...meh.

Er....that's because he's talking about the Cochrane shotgun.
Random question: when you hit ET, did you notice if your crew were all alive?
Would explain it, lol...I only read back so far. :P
Both numbers were checked with full crew on the same ship on the T5U Tactical Odyssey.
