"Morale Officer"? You really want the same job title as Neelix?
...Oh, baby, you know, I've really got to leave you / Oh, I can hear it callin 'me / I said don't you hear it callin' me the way it used to do?...

Yeah, I really want to say my agenda as STO's CM would be to leave a memorable legacy behind. Something people can look back upon and shudder.
Whenever my boss drags me into the office and I later post to the forums that I'll be leaving my position to "spend more time with my family", I would want the people on the forums to say, "Oh that is the best news I've heard ever since Iconians became the CM."
I want people to look upon me as a warning to how bad things could be on the forums, in comparison to someone like Trevor or Brandon.
If whoever replaced me started moderating, the inevitable complaints of heavy-handedness and hyperbolic references to prison camps and police states should always result in at least one person in the thread saying, "Yeah, but at least it isn't Iconians as the CM anymore. Remember that guy?"
Followed by a period of reflection that hey, it could always be worse.
Why not just create a title for Iconians already, give it to him... let the title run for a week or so, see how the forums turn out... I am donw for a week of pure Lolz and aahaas!!!!

Whips are too low tech. Breen neural truncheon all the way.
Just don't take it past setting six. That stuns most humanoids unconscious before they have the chance to scream. I'd leave it at setting three - that will fuse the nerve endings where applied, so the agony lingers for at least thirty-six hours. (Setting four if you want this same effect on Gorn.)

They only have themselves to blame for being susceptible to it past setting six.

I was just reminded of that awful nerve tonic quest in "Night of the Comet." After about the third time she spit it out, I just wanted to vaporize her.
No argument from me. Bad enough when a Fed does it. My KDF character just wanted to slap her.
No kidding. Irritating, unrelated to my job, and classically '60s sexist with the flighty females stereotype. Some parts of TOS we'd be well off not making an homage of.

The beatings will stop when morale improves. It is the iconian way.
I thought the Iconian way was to do all the work and let someone else get the credit and pray to your deities that no one notices the pattern and find out you're behind everything?
"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP"
It's interesting you don't remember the recipe. I believe I could still get her the right 'little pick me up', 'stemmed glass' 'drop of honey' stuff (I'd have to see all the choices to recall everything though).
I'm sure Brandon knew all that, and that's why he should still be CM. Naturally, Iconians knows everything, so he'd also know and he could moderate.
Virusdancer would quickly find out the recipe and make a note of it (I mean he already has), hence he can also become part of the team.
Yay, all my previous picks are now reasonably explained!
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Dear God. I had forgotten all about this one. It. was. AWFUL! A bar fight should be a bar fight, not a firefight. And that never to be sufficiently damned nerve tonic mixture. Made me heave just thinking about it.
Have to agree that Iconians and Virusdancer would make fine CM's or Mods. But at the same time, I like them both enough I would not wish such a terrible fate for them. CM around here serves mostly as Ablative Armor whenever the Devs TRIBBLE something up. Will occurs again in 5...4...3...2... Mods get up in the morning and the first thing they do is paint a very large crosshair on their forehead to make it easier for the nutjobs to aim at.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
Didn't anyone go talk to Scotty? He fills you in on the girl's preferences. It's a little boring the second or third time through (and excruciatingly boring the seventh or eighth), but it's not difficult in the least.

Hey Iconians, before your power and influence extends to other parts of the game, may I ask what kind of nerve tonic you like? I'm preparing for the worst.
You forgot hot and sour ! To the Agony Booth with you !
I DID mention I'd have to see the dialogue box to recall it all... but uh, yeah, what way is the agony booth? Might feel better than the current state of the game.

Please be it the same as for the girl. I know that one. :P

I dunno about giving Iconians the same drink as the girl if he has to face this lot. I'd suggest something a little...stronger. As in strong enough to drop a charging Brahma bull at 50 yards.
Just finished processing a batch of some quality moonshine about an hour ago. Although I prefer the term 'corn whiskey' for the fine elixir my gran'pappy taught me how to make all those long years ago.
So, Iconians and Virusdancer, if you wind up accepting the Queen's schilling for service here to the game, before you do so please come by. I've got some Mason jars which I'll be happy to personalize for each of you with some duct tape and a Sharpie. No, no need to thank me. I'm not doing anything other than administering last rites. lol

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Edit: it appears some people blame CaptainGeko for some of the changes they don't like (Proof)but I can't seem to get a current reason as to why... Old content being what it is, it inherently has a small shelf life, mostly due to changes in programming structure...
In English, basically the more the game progresses, the more it's core programming is optimized and refined...depending on how streamlined this refinement process is, shelved programming can have a short timespan before it'd require a complete rework of the content just to make it run in the current version of the game properly...
At which point it's just not worth it to even try putting it back in, because you'll never get it done before the next round of improvements to the system roll out... It would end up being a never ending cycle of pushing a boulder up a hill, just to have it roll back down again...
Nothing against anyone, but I don't want to say someone is being accused of anything and not be able to prove it.

I can only tell you why I blame him for at least some of the game woes:
1) Geko's in one of the leading positions.
2) Geko behaves unprofessionally (IE: comments on some ships he doesn't like -> therefore those ships won't be put in the game)
3) Geko seems to dismiss an opinion more the more informed it is, having no problem to insult people (IE: PvPers' concerns about systems dismissed as trolling by basement dwelling noobs).
Of course I can't prove he's directly behind all the loathed changes, but noone outside Cryptic/PWE can. He's nonetheless deserving of criticism because of what i noted, though. Because I apparently lack the strenght of character to consider him innocent until proven otherwise, I tend to throw my dislike of recent changes at him.
(Interesting, Cheesebasket, you made me see I'm clearly wrong in blaming Geko for all. However it's difficult, very difficult not to blame him when with every new comment he seems to indicate that he is, in fact, responsible for the changes, or at least offends players by the comment.)

Geko has been with STO for a good long while. The unfortunate reality is he's probably responsible for more decisions people like with STO than decisions they don't.
It just doesn't fit the "Rivera bad!" narrative people like to go with. And he's willing to dish it back out to the customers, and they don't like being called out on their antics.
"B-B-B-B-But he called me a moron!"
Ever consider the possibility that maybe if people stopped being morons on the forums, he'd stop calling those people morons?
