Sokme of us would like to moan about the time it takes to get specializations, but we have to spend far too long to get to level 60 first. Not all of us did the TD thing to super speed level when the 'chance' was given.
I've made an effort to stop all the futile hopemongerging going around in the past....to no avail.
PWE isn't listening and no one cares what we have to say. They're making money, that's all that matters.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
Oh look, yet another "whining about whiners" thread. How original.
Since you seem to like to put all kinds of TRIBBLE in the FCT lately, how about these threads Mods? I'd say it's about time since they contribute nothing except for creating space for flaming and trolling.
"If you don't want to play, don't" is a choice a lot of people are making.
Good. I will never understand why people think that gaming is a monogamous relationship. Play around! The devs don't mind. What happens in Neverwinter won't reach the ears of Payday 2. Your dirty little modding secrets are safe with Steam.
"A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but not preserved, except in memory. LLAP"
Yes, since DR it has been a grind for specializations, but so what?
In real life would you expect to master guitar or a foreign language in 8 hours?
I know we're over a barrel, but stop moaning.
If you don't want to play, don't.
If you don't want to grind, don't.
All these whiny threads are annoying.
Whining about those who are complaining about legitimate concerns...
You sir win the arsehole award.
Thing is mastering a guitar or foreign language is hard, STO isn't and can be mastered pretty easily, most players had some semblance of knowledge of the game before DR, DR just screwed it.
I bet you are the kinda guy who doesn't question anything. Keep living in ignorance, it's obviously good for your mental health.
Chris Robert's on SC:
"You don't have to do something again and again and again repetitive that doesn't have much challange, that's just a general good gameplay thing."

I find the argument a bit short-sighted. People complain and they have a right to do so.
Players made toons and alts and thereby showed their dedication towards the game. They did so by playing by the rules which meant b4 DR you had a char at endgame buy hitting lvl50. Now the rules have changed and your toons suddenly are at endgame (level 60 + eventual maxed out tree) much, much later and under 10 times of the effort than b4.
By itself this would not have been a problem but at the same time cryptic turned skill points into a commodity hard to come by. This was not necessary but they choose to do so.
If you ad any further currencies worth of a grind into account in this game I can understand everyone who is upset.
If cryptic would hand out a reasonable amount of skill points in casual and especially any endgame activities there would not be a problem here and everybody would be happy.

It's less to do with feeling loyal to a product, as you do, invested. We've put money and time into it- accepting that those investments have been wasted and moving on can be a slow process if you're prone to searching for a reason things might get better, but thankfully Cryptic are doing all they can to make it easier for us to realise that won't happen.
The most rewarding experience I had in DR was uninstalling/unsubscribing.
If the devs don't mind that they're driving players away then what does that say about how things are being run eh?
Actually, I spend a lot of time on here. I know I posted a whine thread, but I'm sick of T6 Conny and DR sucks threads. Isn't there more to discuss?
Actually if you care to dig past the threads you dislike you find the forum is full of other useful information on game play, ship builds, etc.
The forum is a voice for the players, good OR bad. Its a community where people air their opinions on one subject or another. If the some threads bug you so much then I suggest you tune them out and dig deeper into the forum. Yes this community is VERY vocal because it cares about the game and the franchise.
I understand your frustration, but threads like this are ultimately self defeating.

Making threads that are essentially attacking others for having an opinion is frankly rather pathetic. Many people have very good reasons to be annoyed, and there are a lot of reasonable discussions going on about it.
One thing you need to remember is that people do care about this game going well, that's why we stay and continue to help test and try to get Cryptic to fix it, so really, as entitled as you are to your opinion, bashing others for having one is a no no.

I no longer do any Bug Hunting work for Cryptic. I may resume if a serious attempt to fix the game is made.

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
Yes it has.
Don't read them.
No, but I also don't consider STO to be a challenging life skill.
Free Tibet!
Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
Yes since ppl complain ppl complain bout complainers
this is a game not real life if you complain long enoughf that someth is too
hard thes ll nerv it like we have seen
If you don't want to read comlplains don't visit the forums.
All these complain about whiny threads are annoying
I'm sure the original poster wouldn't read these threads but can you blame them for being here instead of in the game?
It's a lot easier to advance forum page count than it is to advance specialization progress status.
Well, ok sure, only because you told me to random internet person.

yup till the doors close, that how they be rollin'
Yes, I too think it's rather telling that he's here instead of playing the game. Since we all know how fun the grind is...
YOU are whining
players talking about the game and the things they like or do not like is called FEEDBACK
you should learn the difference...one is useful and required as it points out triumphs or failures in what the devs do.
the other is completely useless to the game and the community.
you are that uselessness.
embrace it.

Don't like it? Don't read the threads.
Either way, we'll speak our minds and there is nothing you can do about it.
Deal with it.
