Looking back on this seemingly unscheduled event , two things stand out :
- XP
This was an event that partially brought me back to the game , and as I ran it with multiple alts (alts that were left untouched more or less since DR) , well the thing that stands out is that all of the said alts are now at level 53 .
Sure , that's not exactly a giant leap forward , but it is something ... -- and more importantly , the event seems to have not been effected by the XP games that Cryptic has been playing with us .
3 levels for 14 missions , each lasting about 15 minutes seems to me like the way things were before DR .
- HP
Before DR , we had Normal , and we had Elite .
Playing it about twice on Elite and the rest on Normal (with Mk 12 gear) , the HP too "felt" like they remained unadjusted to the DR level HP craziness .
This , plus the usual "ppl playing it wrong" complaints here and there just reminded me that without an artificial "fail" option and without the crazy HP or XP nerf , I just experienced a piece of pre-DR content , during DR ... , with the only thing that I found to complain about was the lack of extension of the event by a couple of days and the pretty ugly mono-color of the shotgun itself .
... all in all this experience was clearly either impossible , or I exploited somehow ...

It event put me in good enough spirits to throw some money at the intrepid.
Its almost as if, happy customers spend money. :P
Now that's just crazy talk right there ... !
... next you'll be telling us that Cryptic should revert the HP / XP / award tables back to a pre-DR status and come up with a new table for the Elite level ... . yeah , that's just crazy talk ... , that's all that it is ... -- unless DR makes you want to assume the fetus position ...
New Mirror Invasion is always a treat when they bring it back, and I look forward to a new run of it next year.
