the new upgrading system remminds me of sout park so i thought that i should make a new thread and let everybody know what i found :D

    Nothing in STO is off limits. Players with memberships get the same exact thing as F2P players. The issue that the episode brings up is that games that are freemium in many cases are pay to win, which STO is not. That episode of Spith Park isn't reminiscent of anything in STO.

    Nothing in STO is off limits. Players with memberships get the same exact thing as F2P players.

    Not quite...Veteran rewards only go to subscribers, though mostly those just amount to costume changes. Also things like the Talaxian race and so on. Again, though, that's largely cosmetic.

    The Dilithium <> Zen system is amazing on STO's part.

    That video was posted back when it was first released. Although, that South Park video is aimed more towards Facebook and mobile phone games rather than MMOs since there is no 50 cent purchase to entice players to get addicted to it

    Ugh, this again? The joke stopped being funny after the 15th thread comparing STO to it.
