Bug in System?

As I'm searching through different DOFF assignment from my department heads, if I need to purchase something from the replicator, I am automatically taken back to the main assignments page. So, after purchasing what I need, I have to click back through various screens to get to the assignment I was previously on.

Also, if I click on an assignment and make the purchase then, it won't allow me to start the assignment unless I back out and click it again.

Is there an easier way of doing this or is it just a bug in the system?

    This is a longstanding bug with the system. I'm trying to remember the explanation and it's related to "contacts" and different windows. Certain windows count as 'contacts' and I don't think you can have more than one 'contact' window up at once, which is why you get 'backed out' when you open the replicator. There's no workaround for it; you just have to put up with it.
