The club is as much interesting and worth to be visited as the captains table.

Been there, done that... never will return.

I don't see why we can't wear the club wear anywhere! The same for the Summer Event actually, I mean...we can wear winter event gear all year round.

    It would ruin the immersion.

    Hi folks!

Club 47, is awesome! Its everything a club should be, considering that was before it. Its just totally awesome. However, there is one thing, that feels to be missing. Not that Club 47 is incomplete, its just that its missing, and that is a Dabo table. Maybe this is by design, after all, the only 2 places that have Dabo is Drozana and DS9; While DS9 & Drozana are a genuine hubs, Risa, Nimbus III (D'Kora *) are not, and in both cases Dabo table is one of the things drawing people to go there. If Club 47 gets a table, population on other worlds may diminish considerably, since ESD would now have just about everything. On the other hand, a Dabo table would enhance the club population in any event, since its one of the main reasons why people visit places such as Paradise City Bar and Quark's.
The overall awesomeness of Club 47 will increase considerably with a Dabo table.

< Edit : The one negative aspect, was my disappointment about bar tab... I had a greater variety of beverages in my inventory, then the bartender ! Even my own Cook aboard my ship, on deep space mission, has more... >

On Related note, i find it intolerable to see that such a lucrative business opportunity as Delta Quadrant is not exploited ! Did Ferengi lost all their lobes ? Not a single Dabo table in the entire Quadrant ! Unacceptable....

Design is awesome, good work Art Department, :)

It could use some minigames. What i would like to see is poker (texas holdem) TNG had it.
Otherwise its just another dead social area.

Hmmm...a dedicated social space in the faction hub of an MMO.

Nope, absolutely no concievable utility. We should throw in occasional borg invasion instances to make it more exciting.

[That said, something to do certainly wouldn't go amiss but to be expecting that as a necessary feature is missing the point quite a bit.]

Those are only for those without implanted micro-transporters (implemented sometime between ENT and TOS). Contact technical support if you do in fact need the facilities. :P

The club is nice, but I won't return. There really isn't anything to do besides dance (whoopie). Maybe add some Dabo wheels or a few poker tables where you can play, then yeah I return. Until then I honestly see no point in the club what so ever and I honestly didn't miss it, hell I never visited the old one before they revamped ESD.

Plus the costumes, geez a cross between Tron, Track Suits, and Star Trek. I'm not making a special trip to the tailor just to wear it in one area. They need to think of this stuff better

    Taste Great, Less Filling.....

If you want to have a seizure it's the place to be. Maybe they will consider a weekly dance contest or something...anything. As it is, you just made it easier for certain crowd to hook up without having to travel to Drozanna, or Risa. I think the fake dancers are all that keep

I think you just described most of the post f2p STO development.

I'm wearing my Risa clothing just fine whenever I wish to see my toes.

I wouldn't recommend buying it off the exchange though unless you are Daddy Warbucks.

Club 47 'was' a great game feature. Once Cryptic moved everyone to bases, while also ending the Omega office, the player base had become thinned out and fractured. Even though the Livestream will temporarily fill Club 47, the aftermath will end up being an abandoned location.

Remember, Cryptic is all about 'The Grind'.

Regardless about what the company says, the developers are not interested in making a 'fun' experience.

    Its all abut 'The Grind'.

The only negative comment I have about Club 47 is the color scheme, or possibly a filter, reminds me too much of Champions Online -- like everything inside is vaguely rendered like a drawn comic book. Like using the Photocopy Filter in in Photoshop or GIMP, although at a fairly low percentage. Barely there, but just noticable enough.

I guess it's hard to put into words, but it was one of the things I didn't like about Champions Online.

Obviously the main problem here is the horrible glowing track suit... ;p They look great on the guys but I feel like there was a lot of wasted potential where the ladies outfits are concerned... neon colors and shiny black leather looking material could have been sooo awesome. And the dance... oooh the dance >< again, cool for dudes but way to manly for most of the girls. The NPC's have way better outfits then we do :/ Also how dare they not consider Beer's bombing potential?! rude!

I also love how on stream they said "Oh people said that it'd be dead and almost no one would hang out here, looks alive to me" etc. are you kidding me? You pre announced the stream party that's the exception no the rule, way to pat yourselves on the backs. The Irony? The other side with the lounge where we're requesting some form of entertainment like dabo (even in your 100 man instances) was 100% dead. I checked twice on the instances you were on even and I was literally the ONLY one there. People follow streaming devs around, great success? The club has a nice atmosphere but it does need something interactive, and to shuffle it under by saying it's crowded and people are having fun during the live stream is a cop out. That's like me basing my entire argument off how many people are there at 2 AM.

And I no longer play Champions Online for similar reasons. Aesthetically speaking it was too cartoony for me, and filters like that made my experience in that game somewhat off-putting, compared to say the artistic liberties taken in City of Heroes/Villain or DC Universe Online, which were also created in a comic book style.

It's not a dealbreaker for me in Club 47, but I can say that particular environmental effect in the club does annoy me slightly.

One of the things I like about Star Trek Online is the realistic aesthetics.

Because there are no toilets or urinals in Star Trek, the most you will ever see is a bathtub or a shower.

Pool tables, slot machines, Dabo in the form of a slot machine so it would take up less space, if they are going to have a disco dance floor playing funky music we can't really argue that Starfleet is now too high minded to have other forms of basic entertainment and since there is a GPL vender there it would make sense to provide a means to make GPL as well.

I still prefer the Old ESD easier to get around.I still want a place where the bank is close to the Shipyard as it saves me from running around a lot.

It is why I have to go to K7 or Gondala.

There's a bank IN the shipyard.
This saves you from running around at all.
