I am certain it will come eventually - probably as part of some T6 Fleet system.
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.
As long as people keep telling Cryptic they're perfectly fine with re-buying the same ships they already own over and over again, Cryptic will keep producing T6 ships of ships we already own.

As I said in the Intrepid thread: Every time Cryptic expects me to buy a new ship now I need a new Mission to play it through. No new Mission, no ship purchase.

Likely as a T6 Fleet ship; provided Cryptic just doesn't convert them over to T6 straight. Like I mentioned in another thread, those ship as well as the others of the T5 3-packs practically are 90% T6.
10 consoles rather than 9 at base T5 (T6 C-Store ships start with 10 consoles; same as basic T5 Fleet ships).
First 4 Masteries already coded in at T5U.
Borderline Fleet level stats at T5U, in addition to an 11th console (which would match a T6 Fleet ship).
Scaling formulas are already in place with T5U.
All they're missing is a 5th Mastery trait, an Intel hybrid slot, and another Boff slot.

And that's a fair criticism.
Personally, I'm going to start saving my Zen stipend and not buy more Zen until they get around to re-selling my favorite ships, since neither the Intrepid or Patrol Escort are among them.
The precedent has already been set, and the success of the Patrol Escort being re-released meant the precedent is being continued with the new T6 Pathfinder.
We're going to get more of this, and I'm sure the Scimitar and any other multitude of ships we already own are on the agenda.
So... since I love a lot of ships, I get to start saving all my Zen, dilithium, and gaming budget until they get around to it.
If that means no Zen purchases for the next 4-8 months until a dev blog concerning a favorite ship of mine crops up? So be it.
Sell the chassis and the body separately and make them interchangeable. Maybe still keeping the TAC/SCI/ENG divisions in place though.

I think of it in much the same way as buying duplicates of other things.... do I really need to buy a 4-door sedan with a sunroof, when I already have a 4-door sedan? If I want it I buy it, if not, enh...
I've been seing LOTS of Gal-X ships lately, so I suspect that people really DO like them... And the same goes for Intrepids...
then again.... I once saw a Plesh Brek when doing my mirror Runs, so peeps will fly anything they like. :P
