No Summer Event Glasses for Talaxians?

I noticed last night on one of my characters that his Talaxian Sci/Int couldn't wear any of the sunglasses from the Summer Event - is this just an oversight because the Talaxians weren't out yet during the Summer Event or (like Gorn, Ferasan, Caitain and Saurian) is there a graphics-based reason they can't be worn?
I'm actually a little disappointed, I had a bit of a theme going with most of my BOffs wearing different kinds of glasses and this breaks it. I know I could buy the intel uniform, but I'm concerned about if I buy it I could end up unable to buy the Delta Ops Pack...
Anyway, will there be any chance in the future of the Talaxian BOffs and Lifetime Sub Captains being able to wear sunglasses or - for that matter - the eyepatch that the Klingon Academy uniform seems to unlock for most of the races?
