Dauntless Secondary Deflector...

Anyone know if the Dauntless Secondary Deflector is going to be made upgradeable? Seems a bit odd that the Dyson ones are but the Dauntless one isn't...

    As far as I can tell they've pretty much forgotten entirely about science yet again.

    In before "you need to have patience" replies that we've heard since season 8.

    Are you sure the Dyson ones are? I own the Romulan recon DSD and I can't upgrade the one I have.

    Though to be honest...probably take them as long if not longer as it's taking them to actually release the secondary deflectors...which may very well be never.

    Definitely - at least the one that was on the free Dyson ship I got could be. The shield leach doesn't look like it increases, but the other stat bonuses do.

    Just a guess here, but my bet is that secondary deflectors are coming in Season 10. The fact that the Dauntless has one is a positive sign.

    As far as the deflector that came with the ship, wouldn't it fall into the "default gear that's not upgradable" category?

    Well it's a Mk X Common quality which suggested to me it could be upgraded. Normally they put them on Mk Infinity Gold if they're not upgradeable...

    The Solanae Secondary Deflectors are upgradable. But the common grade ones found on various ships (DSD and Dauntless share same common ones) are not.

    Can the gear that comes with a freshly acquired ship be upgraded?

    Default ship gear is never upgradeable, with the exception of some very unique items.

    I have a better question: when are we getting more flavours of secondary deflectors to experiment with?
    The basic Dauntless one is ok for a basic stock issue, but it's not too beneficial and it's tied to a specific build/playstyle while I'd want to utilize a wee different build.

    It's just another "Decaying" 2nd deflector like what the C Store Dyson ships have.

    Unless you were lucky enough to have been around to grind the 4th Anniversary Event for the Event Dyson and got the blue (and upgradeable) 2nd deflector off of it, you're SOL.

    I have a feeling that secondary deflectors will come with the next fleet holding.

    600 lobi can get you the DSD with the deflector.

    Yeah, I've got the Dyson one on my Dauntless.

    I'm interested to see what the Secondary Deflector on the new Pathfinder does.

    I don't think Cryptic has even begun to think about that, even though the DSD and the 2 different Secondary Deflectors out now have been live for about a year now.

    The MK X white one on the c-store version isn't upgradeable...I right clicked on it and the upgrade button doesn't show up.
