you know torpedo+array+console and clasick - (reman) shiled+engines+deflector (or you think that romulan one is better?).
my question is - it is good for romulan character ? i waqnt to solo mission, and to run que actions - not only current mirror universe, but crystaline catastrophe and others too.
It stis good set for it ? or is nukara/borg sets better ?
or best cmbination is say romulan weapons + borg ship set ? take into acount i want to have it universal, not to change against specific enemies.
And which (c-store/mirror? ) ship (t5/6) you recomed for that sets ?
asume i have all t4 (romulan t5
) acces to all reputations (except delta).
and you can post sets for fed/kdf chars too

I fly Romulan Plasma Weapons. As such I have 2 of the RomRep pieces (beam/console) for the 2 piece bonus and I also run the KCB/console from the OmegaRep for it's 2 piece bonus. I find they work well together...at least well enough for me.
Take this all with a grain of salt. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to call me an idiot. :P
Your an idiot!!!
Sorry, I'm joking and couldn't resist!
No but seriously OP there is no set build which is the be all and end all for ship builds, because what may work for me may not work for the next player.
For example one of my alts uses a fleet Avenger with Counter Command space set and MkXII purple disruptors from the exchange. For me this set up works well in all instances, but I am also running another alt - a Romulan - where I am putting together a 'faction' build where it is only Romulan gear. From what I can work out the best combo for that is the Rom rep weapons and the Reman space set.
But like I say at the end of the day you just have to experiment and see what works for you!

Most popular set for people without the best gear is Rom Experimental array, 7/6 Beam arrays and the Rom Console for the 2 piece plasma bonus.

I have an alt that runs the nukara deflector and engines with the counter command phaser turret and console. That also works well.
Elite Fleet shields res A and b depending on the content
Is pretty solid against all content in pve
Saphire.. Science ground......Ko'el Romulan space Tac
Leva........Tactical ground.....Koj Romulan space Eng
JJ-Verse will never be Canon or considered Lore...It will always be JJ-Verse
if you run an all Plasma build the Rem/Rom ship set and Rom weapon set are quite good. I run those sets onb on one of my Romulan's Haakona. Both sets are stroing and complmentary. The only real downside is the Gear set geting a Covalent shield. I think (and I have) swapped out the shield for another. At times, I swap out to a Fleet Resilient Shield but I do go back of the Covalent Shield and have a but more Armor and Hull Healing.
But what are advantages or borg/nukara eng/def+(sheld) over romulan ones ?
Borg assimilated 2pc set bonus is good for ships with minimal self healing. Reason is because the set bonus has a chance to proc a hull heal. If you decide to go for the 3pc set bonus then you also gain a borg tractor beam, and a chance on proc to a tiny shield heal and damage reduction to shields. The 3pc set bonus shield heal is actually kinda poor because the shield heal doesnt scale. But the damage reduction bonus proc is 50% reduced damage to shields. Also the assimilated shields gives you +5 shield power, engines gives you +5 engine power, and deflectors gives you +5 aux power. The individual pieces have stats that arent too useful. Deflectors give you extra hull points, extra resists to tractors and knocks, some stat points that benefit grav well and tractor beams, and points that help you resist shield drains like the borg shield neutralizer and tachyon beam.
Nukara space set: deflectors boost shield healing, shield hit points and hull hit points. As well as resists to tractors and knocks and also faster subsystem repair if one of your subsystems gets knocked offline (weapons, shields, engines and aux systems). If you lose weapon subsystem you cant fire, if you lose shield subsystem all your shield facings go down. The stats on the Nukara deflector makes them come back online faster. But you can also immediately fix offline subsystems if you use abilities like emergency power to shields/weapons or engineering team. Nukara engines, nothing special really just +5 shield power +additional shield power based on your power level. The 2pc set bonus i believe boosts tetryon damage but its low i think only 2.5% extra damage.
Reman and Romulan space sets are good for sci ships or people that want to run lots of sci abilities. You have to look at the individual stats on each piece to see if it benefits you. Like the deflectors have things like +stealth value and 2% stealth detection. Which are almost useless in PVE but very useful for PVP, especially if your ship is set up to be to cloaked ship detector. But as far as the rest of the stats on the deflectors go you get resists to knock and disable. Graviton Generator points which helps if you use things like gravity well, tractor beams and tractor beam repulsors (as well as a few other abilities). And Subspace Decompilers which helps with abilities and gear that have disable effects like Viral Matrix (i think) and Tricobolt weapons. Engines they have Starship Manuevers on one and Starship Attack Patterns on the other, the second one is actually good if you want to raise your dps a little bit (assuming you use attack pattern omega/beta/delta/alpha). The rest of the stats on the engines are pretty self explanatory. Shields are pretty good tanking shields...but getting it up to 10 full stacks is very rare. Most i see on my Sci Vesta is 3-5 stacks. Its a good tanking shields if you want to stack lots of shield health. But they only have damage resistances vs phasers and disruptors.
TLDR i think its best to look over each piece and look at each stat and see if that stat will do anything for the ship and build you are putting it on (do the same for set bonuses). If you have nothing that benefits from +39.4 Graviton Generators then is that a piece that you really want?
