Hirogen Cloak?

kingswood123kingswood123 Member Posts: 0 Arc User
Whilst play one of the patrol missions at Admiral 58, I noticed that Hirogen ships were cloaking & de-cloaking. I own the Hirogen Apex Battlecruiser and a cloaking device. I found that it was not possible to add a cloaking device to my Hirogen ship and was wondering if this was a bug or if it was intentional. Please can somone help me out?:confused:

They arn't cloaking, they are jaming your targeting sensors. Try running Sci Team 1.

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Hirogen are probably the worst enemy to fight if you don't have a Science Team. Apex Battleships will jam your sensors and Hunter Escorts will constantly subnuke you. I'd rather have an TRIBBLE.

Man, it's like Season 1 PvP all over again! People confuse Jam Sensor with Cloak! (In PvP, that could lead to accusations of hax/exploits because people saw Federation ships "cloak" which they shouldn't be able to...).

That said... It's an easy mistake to make. The effect on the enemy ship is the same. The difference is that Jam Sensors creates sparkles around your ship. Science Team clears the effect.

An ingame message came up from my tactical officer saying that 2 Hirogen Vessels were 'De-Cloaking' to ambush the Vaadwaur. The Hirogen were allies not enemies.:)

That's just his excuse for not noticing them earlier. Execute him for incompetence.

If you're wondering what the mission is called it is 'Taking Care of Enemies'

Maybe we should execute you for your complete arrogance. If you could replay the mission (you can't) then you would see how incompetent you are being. If you want proof, then patrol the Pansarka System in the Takara Sector block, Yontasa Sector or watch this video that I made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cs8NHJtuoW8&feature=youtu.be

From what I saw in the video, it looked more like the Hirogen were warping in. (But since you put more emphasis on the text than what the Hirogen ships were actually doing in the video, it's hard to tell.) Ya sure, your BOff said "decloaking", but that's probably a text slip-up on the dev side. If you want to try and remake your video and show the Hirogen actually decloaking, then I'll believe you.

I've been accused of cheating because i "declioaked" my snooper nebula at the 6-o clock of a cloaked vorcha.

What i did was simply sneak in with Mask Energy Signature. Bottom line is that there are several abilities which can appear as cloaking.
