At first I had a great experience with these channels and this league - lots of awesome people in it.
Climbed my way up through the channels, peaking around 35-39k dps. I was getting to know the community, having fun with people, learning even more about optimization. I hadn't really known a lot of people who parsed before and had received invites to the 20k channel before I even had the parser. I started using the tool more and testing more, really seeing the objective evidence to better optimize different trait load-ouds, gear set bonuses, the works. Seriously, kudos to the creator of the tool and the people behind it.
Recently having upgraded a few pieces and honing my flanking flight path I thought I could hit 40k no problem. I did my first run of the night with people I hadn't really run with before and hit 53k dps. I was shocked and started pouring over the logs and sure enough the single target was through the roof - these two guys were definitely 50k channel people. Knowing that others have done such a thing in the past to gain access, I uploaded it, amazed, cause I was only trying for 40k.
I posted it once in the 30k, and was like, "WOOT!" I knew the top 2 players I ran with were the master race romulan scimi drivers but the difference between their dmg and mine was far less than mine between the #4 and #5. Cool. They hit 63 and 68 something that round. I came in #3 with a single target build, no wasted dps on healing generators (only overkill on trash), with 18% of the entire dmg done in the place. Sure, I was carried a little on trash - but on the big stuff? We hit a record time ISA with 114 seconds - check it, if a particular mod of these channels hasnt removed it out of spite(keep reading). My single target build spiked at 285k that round, with 114k and 91k against the transformers, 56k against the gateway and 68k vs the tac cube.
It was probably one of my best runs ever in terms of piloting. I had a serious zen run and knew it - as it was happening. I also know a lot of the league players run ISA over and over again to do just that - hit a parse where they have streak of great crits and then post it - its a league after all showing top potential. This was also a run with no recluses.
I logged in after watching some Walking Dead with the wife. I saw that some other players were on the 19k who I had been running with recently, one of them also trying out the new phantom with a surgical strike build, and really trying to peak its performance. I mentioned that I broke 50k. Someone spoke up and said "You were carried." I responded with the parse for the 2nd time ever posting it (and last) and said "Does it look like I was carried?"
Now looking back I do see that these top 2 guys were serious players. I'm not mentioning names at all. Suffice to say the league lets all kinds of dps padding shenanigans happen in the parses and have been talking about reigning it in, but there isn't really much that can be done about dmg to the transformers while they are rapidly healing. My damage on the other hand in the phantom is all focused, narrowed on the hard targets that slow runs down and in that run... was the first I decided to focus on hard targets.
The evidence of that being a huge factor in that run? The time of the run at 114 seconds. That only happens when the HP bags go down fast.
I did get snarky at this guy because he kept on about my run not being legit. I felt this was an awesome accomplishment, something I had honed my skills to take advantage of, and here was someone who is known for being abrasive trolling me. I said, "You jelly brah?"
So he responds that he is removing my entry from the league and that if I want to do that perfect run I have to do it again. He denies me entry to the 50k channel. Turns out this guy is a mod and can at a whim, at his fancy, alter the league how he sees fit.
Nice feeling knowing that, yeh? Knowing that someone can be a total jerk to you and insult your best run you're striving for, denigrate you and mock you - and if you dare to respond in kind, dare to speak up for yourself, you'll find yourself out of the league and banned.
He told me if I upload it again he will ban me. Well...
Up until this point Ive been cool. I did'nt flip out yesterday; I was very chill. I even apologized directly to him. I'm sure there are lots of witnesses to my trying to be kind in the channel yesterday and mend the gap but his refusal to even contemplate the idea was quite evident.
You're out there and reading this.
I wont be a part of league that allows that sort of behavior to occur. I implore others of you to reconsider this guy as a mod, or to leave the league too. That or live in a dictatorship where you can be insulted and if you dare to speak up for yourself they alter your record.
To the rest of you I really like every one and hope yall invite me to play, but I wont be a part of the league as long as this guy has any say at all. Its just me at this point but I wonder how many other skilled players you'll lose for this persons behavior. Enjoy your league.

Thats the log. Record speed for 4 players btw. Not sure why mine is a second slower.

Well, they aren't oppressing you as much as you think...
But i do think removal of a score is a bit harsh. But remember OP, being an internet moderator is like having absolute power.
The DPS league has always been an aristocracy, and hopefully you know that when you signed up. That's why you don't speak up against the mods.
I'm not blaming the victim here, but you kind of insulted a moderator. Moderators have supreme power and there really isn't anything you can do about that unless you don't participate.
But really, boo moderator. If you actually did that, boo. That's unfair.

He mentioned how he runs with these guys all the time and how he knows they are top players. His records is 58k. I bet he also did that run with his friends? His record is 58k with the same people I ran with according to him (I didnt run with all 50k people but I bet he did), yet his record is legit and he can just remove mine?
Was it a phantom for his record? Nope. Mine is at 53k. Everyone knows he has been trying the phantom...
I'm sure its pretty transparent at this point.
So yeh. Its a hugely petty thing, jealousy that is, and if the removal of a record time stands its indicative of the people running the show so it should really be in the invitation post for the leage. Perhaps a cryptic mod can take a look at the situation and maybe see if its a good idea to add a little attention? I'm thinking that's going to be a really great idea at this point. Just so players are aware that their records in the league are subject to emotional malfunction of the channel mods.

You're crying about it on a forum, and the Mod is just a sad, and spiteful person(or had a bad day).
Who knows, maybe you were gloating like a jerk ? Some do it and not even notice.
If you like the people there, and playing with them, go and pm the mod on another day when cooler heads prevail.
Prior to DR, anyone doing 20K or more was benefitting from it. The number of runs I was in whether FAW3 was launched against the gate before a side was down... anyways, some mammals like to mark their territory. It doesn't mean they're tougher or better than you.
But I digress.
You can argue that it's bogus, that only 'some' do it, or that friendly channel-made software accurately tracks without editing time records etc. etc., but the reality is the DPS group is a private group lead by a few who can and will make all the rules.
You knew that going in. Venting here is meaningless (kind of like my vents on bugs, nerfs and the ridiculous changes that has driven a good chunk of the players away).
You also may have misinterpreted his response. (benefit of the doubt)
If it helps - congrats on your achievement. Know that you're in good company. Anyone who can get their build above 10K on their own is decent enough of a player in my books.
Now if we could convince the devs to make a true combat logger that redacts damage to inanimate and undamageable objects, while accurately tracking time - we might: Sokath, his eyes uncovered.

Why not redo you run?
If you could do it once just do it again. If you cant then maybe they where right to remove you from 50k.
The thing with the chans is that while only one run is required to get you into a channel.. Once you are there you should only queue up in the new chan if you do at least that amount.
Basically you get into 50i if you best run ever has 50k or more. But you shouldnt queue up in that chan if you are not sure to do AT LEAST 50k.
I myself recently reached 50k but havent queued up once (okay 1 ground) because i csnt reliably do it. Once i'm sure i can do it like 85% or something then its really being 50k.
So yeah again i dont know what happened and there truly are some a**holes there in the chans but well there are a**holes everywhere so why bother crying about it.
In the end its just very simple: either they are right or you are. Either you can do it again or you cant. In one case you will get back to 50k fast in the other maybe not so fast.
And tbh if you really did this 50k run with a phantom or whatever i too think you got carried.

A) You would ban someone for getting fed up with someone ignoring basic facts and making an obviously over exaggerated sentence. Really?
C) You plainly have never been to England - you hear FAR worse ravaging of the English language everywhere you go, especially anywhere built up, or anywhere with a dialect. Innit blud.
D) American's speak English? Funny. I would call it bastardised pidgin English for most of the US accents. And as for Canada and Greenland, well... (let alone the fact America, since you did not specify which part, could be taken to also include South America - it is mostly Latin, Spanish and Portuguese derivatives there, so...)
E) Finally, and most importantly, the guy already stated the reason why he was banned and the 1:14 Record deleted. (and if it was mentioned in CLR, it is not now, or I cannot find it, and I usually make an effort to ensure they are both the same.)
Do I do this on a regular basis? Not even the slightest.
In fact, once I got my Kirk's Protege accolade I went back to my build I considered to be more fun. I don't know why people were so interested in what build I was using, it's simply the means to an end -- it isn't the end-all-be-all of my STO experience, nor does my ability to generate ridiculously high DPS define me as an STO player.
Nor am I a member of any of these DPS channels, nor do I want to be.
Don't let a number define who you are as a player. Make your own identity for yourself.
Different folks enjoy different things. In the end, all the "wars' taking place between folks are not much different than Chevy vs. Ford vs. Dodge, AMD vs. Intel, AMD vs. nVidia, cake vs. pie...

Never understood the need for folks to go after other folks for that. Heh, though - uh - there are certain groups out there that I /facepalm at myself. So it's not really a case of being a hypocrite, I still don't understand that need for folks to go after other folks and I strive to avoid doing it myself...but I'm only human. And those folks spending Lobi on cats...or collecting other non-combat pets...just aren't my kind of folks.
please let me know who these people are as the admin tool should only be accessable by a few trusted people, NO-ONE should delete a log it is however possible it was an accident as if you broke 50k rather than invite you it could have been possible they deleted it.

you can re upload your log, as everytime you upload the CLR creates a copy log in the "saved logs" folder in the logs file this is an automated process so people will always have a log of thier data
i will reprimand people in the leauge if anything is found untoward.

I was in chat when it happened, I can confirm that what the OP has said is true (if anything, the mod was ruder to him than the OP has implied), the mod really said they were deleting his entry and also said if he re-uploaded it there'd be repercussions.
Obviously, text on internet from random person =/= 100% truth, but there were a lot of other people in the channel too who can confirm it.
Totally out of order, no point in having a league if an entry can be arbitrarily removed on a whim, and puts a dubious light on entries too.
please try not to make yourself sound inept, entrys are not only for the most part recorded by 4 other people but alot of the time recorded on youtube, so making a off hand comment that they are somehow fake makes yourself sound a little silly.
however that being said i will reiterate TWO things
1) NO entry in to the league should be deleted unless foul play is called
2) the ONLY people who should really discuss this matter are the OP and the mod in question, WITH ME

It's a bit late for you now, but in the future this may help you. If your personal policy is to form groups where the procedure will be to handle internal problems internally then you should follow that policy in all matters.

I was really upset last night. I did some things I regret like make this post and quit the channels in rage. I didn't say anything in game to anyone but two close friends.
For everyone supporting me, thank you. Seriously, thank you. I should've tried to contact others to have this addressed and I did try another mod but they said there was nothing they can do to overwrite another mods actions.
Mal, thank you very much. You were actually one of the players in that run - if you'd like to see the log I'm not sure you saved - it was it one 11/13/2014.
Also, I have no doubt I can not only repeat the run, but can top it. It was a perfect flight run, I'm not done upgrading, I knew what I did right and can repeat it. Didn't even have dylrene equipped.
I do have the parse saved and would be glad to provide it. I do think many of you would find the numbers fascinating and it is my opinion that it may be possible with the right team and a single phantom to actually break more records.
And just to clarify, the run was 114 seconds, not 1:14. I know it's not a super fast run compared to older records but for newer records it was #15, or the 5th highest Team entry on speed with new ISA.
Judging purely from his posts, I would be inclined to say English isn't his first language, and thus what he meant isn't what he wrote, or what it was interpreted as.
OP - your 114 second run is in CLR currently. (Presumably the comment was one of the really upset things?)

In my own defense: I talked to the other mod of the channels last night, before re-uploading with my snark after my entry was deleted a 2nd time, before making the OP, and before leaving the channels. They said there was nothing they could do, could not undo what another mod did. Thinking I had no other recourse, I came here.
I would like to be a part of the community again and have my league record upheld. That run up there? Not carrying me.

So enjoy it. But not everyone in the universe needs to receive daily updates about how someone in a specialized build broke this or that DPS record. And the silly drama that comes with each of those threads....oh the drama and storking the "ye' olde epeen"....gimme' a break.
Do note that I'm not talking against you here OP, or making fun of your issue. What you experienced sucks. It' also something that I came to expect from such groups in other games (can't really say about STO since I never bothered with this sort of stuff here). It's just those multiple attention seeking threads that pop up on daily basis since DR launched for some reason are really getting boring.
SO...
1) the mod that told you this stated to you to contact the channel owner (which you didnt) which is me
2) before i learned the above i attempted to gain your attention on two threads, although you have sent me a pm, i have only responded now, so rather than waiting for a response you have decided to continue to make more out of this situation than is needed
3) porchsong a co-founder who is aware of the situation and also attempted to gain your attention, has been ignored (to my knowledge)
so i put this to you:-
if you truly want to resolve the issue plz contact people who can solve your problem, ie me or porch NOT to make continual issues on public forums and ignore attempts to solve your issue.
