Firstly, I would like to say a huge thank you for Delta Rising. So far, the experience in the expansion has been awesome, and I'm loving having the original VOY cast back reprising their roles.
One question I do have though.
With the recent revamp and redesign of the Voyager interior and how great that new interior looks (I love the mindscape mission) I wonder are you going to give the Klingon interiors a bit of love and revamp?
Whilst I have no issues with the layout of them, and love the fact that they have a Brig, the bridge interior options all have a very similar feel.
The most irritating thing for me has to be that when you sit at the table in the mess with your fellow RPers, you cant see above the table. Its completely out of proportion with the rest of the interiors dimensions.
Is there any hope that this is going to be looked at?
Thanks again for all the hard work on Delta Rising, you guys rock!
Unfortunately, I doubt we'll get any KDF bridge/interior revamps. If they did, they'd have to concede that there are non-Klingon ships and races available to KDF players - take a look at the dialogue with its constant use of "Qapla'!", talk of 'Honor' and 'House' and such, it's all based on an assumption that any KDF character is Klingon and so are the bridges and interiors. If they revamped the KDF interiors, they'd have to admit that there's no reason a Nausicaan freebooter's Destroyer, an Orion smuggler's Flight-Deck Cruiser, or a Gorn separtist's 'support' vessel should have the same interiors and bridges as a Klingon warrior's Battlecruiser or Bird-of-Prey.
As it is, the preveiling attitude seems to be, despite claims to the contrary, "Who needs to make already existing ships better? Forget properly aligning the Galaxy-X's Phaser Lance or giving non-Klingon ships non-Klingon bridges. We can just give the players more ships they have to run races for two weeks to earn instead and talk them up and we're sure the players will just forget all about those little flaws." *coughWinter and Summer Event shipscough*
"If you can't take a little bloody nose, maybe you ought to go back home and crawl under your bed. It's not safe out here. It's wondrous, with treasures to satiate desires both subtle and gross; but it's not for the timid." -- Q, TNG: "Q-Who?"
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
