I did some testing and one thing to note is that it can't be used with FAW or Surgical Strikes, when those respective abilities are on CD it can proc and will do some decent spike damage i think i hot for about 20k or so when it hits.

Not sure if anyone else played with the crafting weapons but wanted to share the information.

I have yet to play with any other mods like rapid or anything, if anyone has insight to other mods let me know I'm curious how others perform like thrust or pen.

I've noticed this as well. Such a shame considering the investment some of us have put into getting good modded over beams.

Im gonna file a bug report as soon as I figure out how, since I dont think this is working as intended (you'd think they would have mentioned on the tooltip or blog that it doesnt work with one of the most frequently used powers in the whole game).

Not only do they not work with FAW on, but I dont believe they are proccing anywhere near 2.5%, though that could just be my perception since I have FAW up a lot.
Got a cat? Have 10 minutes to help someone make the best degree dissertation of all time?

Then please fill out my dissertation survey on feline attachment, it'd be a massive help (-:

Actually that part is accurate if it's 2.5% chance to proc is per volley of attack and not per shot fired since each volley is 4 shots. When I tested it, my friend shot at me 1500 times in 5 minutes and only proced the beam over load 13 times, which is very low but if you consider the volley of 4 per shot then it's about 3%. But yeah its disappointing it doesn't work with abilities. Good for spike damage in between though so it's something.

Don't you think that the over mod would be super op if it worked with beam abilities? Think beam fire at will is too OP as it is. Beam fire at will, from canon, would not also contain a beam overload, so from a logical standpoint too it makes no sense.

ANOTHER example of why we need an info dump and a description on the tooltip ffs. A mention that it puts your normal B:O power on cooldown is not a minor detail to miss....
