R&D - salvaged technology?

Finally got beams to level 15 and I was hoping to build experimental upgrades however it requires salvaged technology.

Question is : where does on acquire these components from?

    You get them from the elite ques.

    Oh for **** sake.

    Can't get delta gear because pugging adv is pointless.

    Can't upgrade gear because its in the elite queues!

    Come on cryptic!

    Oh well plan B, selling superior and buying experimental.

    Bug Hunt.

    But don't worry about them for now. The 'experimental' superior upgrades appear to have no benefit when upgrading from XII to XIV, and they end up using about 20% more dilithium in terms of overall cost when used.

    Use superiors for upgrading mark, and heck, you might get lucky. Once at mark XIV, you can just use the experimental ones to increase the rarity chance.
