Which is the best cannon weapon? I have phased bio matter, mixed with Andorian cannons and Ive also tried elachi arc cannons, but those sometimes miss the target...
Mit all realy depends. If you are looking for procs, most people run.
1. Antiproton
2. disruptors
3. Plasma
4. Polaron
5. phaser
6. Tetryon
These are normal weapons fire and depending on the player 1-3 can be swapped around. I think it comes down to ship synergy. For example if you run a breen or jem'hadar ship it is worth think about polaron for the extra damage if you use the Jem'hadar set on them. Also worth using on drain builds. With the two piece counter command set it gives added disruptor and phaser damage, so if you run the turret and the console or the torp it is good synergy. If you have a console that is boosted by Tac consoles like the plasma, phaser, or disruptor lotus it is good to use the same weapons type.( available on vet ships).
You can never go wrong with antiproton more critx is always nice to have specially how easy it is to get crit h up. I know there is a rule that some people consider gold 1/10 crit h vs crit d use. I have been generating a table that debunks this thought. The fact are 1/10 crit ratio does the same as a 2/5 crit ratio. Each player needs to find that sweet spot is what it really comes down to. I tend to go crit h on consoles and crit d on weapons.
Most people will tell you to stay away from tetryon. I tend to agree. NPCs and players with high power insulators will drop the shield drain down to nothing, and you lose the prod if you are not fighting someone with shields. Tetryon are usually cheap on the exchange and are good weapons to start out with until you get your finally build. They are also useful in shield drain builds, but these builds are unique and usually require a science vessel to do well in.
