Reverse flash and lol* professor zo are the same people I think, but according to the wiki, zoom can't kill the flash cause their lives are tied to each other .
Eobard Thawne = Professor Zoom = Reverse Flash. However, in the comics, he is not the only Reverse Flash, and I think that may be where some of the confusion lies.
"Harrison Wells" is clearly a tip of the hat to H.G. Wells, author of The Time Machine, and was possibly the earliest suggestion that the character was a time traveler. My personal guess is that Wells title of "Professor" is another nod, this time to Professor Zoom. I'm pretty much in agreement with a theory I've seen on the web that character Eddie Thawne is a red herring, and that the character is likely the ancestor of Eobard.
If I remember right, in the comics Eobard was obsessed with Barry Allen originally. Fan-boi to the extreme. This seems to be paralleled in Wells, who deliberately had a hand in the creation moment of the Flash. He then exhibited over-protectiveness, as if afraid his new creation would be broken too soon out of the mold, but then realized the Flash was truly up and...um, running, and backed down a bit. He appears to see the future Crisis as Barry's finest hour (it was in the comics) and is prepared to do anything, even murder, to keep Allen on target for his destiny. If he is Eobard, then Wells may have been the Reverse Flash that killed Barry's mom, again to set the stage, this time the emotional drive for the Flash.
There's something else about Wells, especially after the tag scene on this last episode. He not only wanted to create Flash, but also to create Grodd. He's also demonstrated manipulation of other meta-humans, and is storing several in his particle accelerator. This is a long shot, but with the Superman characters tied up in the movie universe, might they be using Wells to create a Legion of Doom in their television world? A task that would normally fall to Lex Luthor in storytelling. He'd still want to protect the Flash, since its Barry that saves everything and everyone.
I've been reading the FLASH comics since I was about 8.
I think Wells, who is obviously from the future (25th century?), is Eddie Thawnes' great-great grandson (or something like that)...
Which would make Wells the 1985 comic version but with the 1963 "Professor Zoom" title.
(I also think Wells is lying about his name and it is actually Eobard Thawne)
I think the writers are mixing things up a bit to keep us guessing.
Eddie Thawne (Joes partner) is going to end up being the 1963 version of Zoom with the 1985 Reverse-Flash title.
Which means that Eddie will eventually get zapped by lightning in a chemical bath just like Barry did.
Least that's my guess.
