Can't Find Cmdr. DeSoto!

I am trying to play THE VAULT mission and have repeatedly gone in and out of the Admiral's Office and still no Commander Desoto to talk to and advance the Game! I did find the officer to get the shuttle from then flew to the Vault in it BUT..could not play it BECAUSE of not being able to find Commander Desoto...and I looked EVERYWHERE..ANY IDEAS FOLKS?

    Which Admirals office you going to? DeSoto is at Starbase 39 take the Turbolift up to the Office.

    Desoto is to the left of starbase 39's turbolift once coming on the admiral's deck.

    I MUST HAVE READ THE PARAGRAPH WRONG! The one where I THOUGHT..it was mentioning Admiral Quinns' office at ESD!...MY BAD..Thats what happens when not getting enough sleep! Thanks!
