Please Fix Mirror Event

The AFKers are getting more annoying. Reporting them doesn't seem to really do anything. I ran the event three times last night, and there was an AFKer in each one. I had hoped the first few times I saw them that it was a limited thing, but the match almost -encourages- people sitting around doing nothing.

Please fix the event. Leeches deserve to actually -lose- something other than time.

    why don't you just chill for 10 minutes until the dread shows. It doesn't matter what anyone does.

    Yep that's the thing they should "fix" ... instead of punishing not participating in pointless 15min busy-work ... how about rewarding reasonable amounts of XP for engaging enemies i.E. ...

    You loose marks is you don't close rifts and get the power level to the station at lvl 5.

    the real issue is these time gated forced repeat missions. I will have done this mission 56X by the end of the "event".

    With the daily bonus still applying and the fact that you still get the transporter thingie just for completion, the marks you lose from tanking phase 1 are pretty negligible.

    Then you shouldn't do Mirror in the first place ...

    You get extra marks for closing rifts, getting the power on and pushing the station to level 5, and keeping damage on the station low.... so yes it does matter - it's the best payout source for romulan marks.

    Closed Rifts : 5

    -> ~30 Marks

    Starbase : 10/10
    Closed Rifts : 25

    -> ~40 Marks

    => meh ...

    you could do an entire other map in the time it takes you to earn those 5-10 "extra " marks.

    you get the "purple" mark reward regardless

    Now it is pertinently clear to me why most players I see in MI just sit around the station shooting ships rather than PTO'ing.

    I think I'll just kill a few frigates and just stay cloaked in future....

    Just do what I do to an afk player who sits there longer than 3-5 mins. .

    Use attract fire draw over mobs and watch as they burn lol

    Evil yes but hey they should play. .

    Tbh it don't bother me that much unless I'm dying lots lol

    You know the thing I find most interesting is all these thread complaining about people afking that mission is that they seem to be actually convincing people to start doing it.

    how does that make them pay? if Im just sitting there what does it matter if Im alive or dead.

    And why are you wasting time doing that... shouldn't you be closing rifts....

    Okay I did close a lot of rifts and transfer power to see if my score would go higher than 50. Nope!

    Funny the final ship name is: I.S.S. Spock, all sorts of names. I am to take it down no matter what I'll push my BOF and DOF running the ENG Room to the max. I am glad to see the Delta Mark has finally been added.

    I have not seen a single AFKer since running MI...guess VERY lucky.

    However, I have seen lots of noobs and people who just leave the match unexpectedly. Doing the event with 3 or 2 is not cool and people just ill-prepared with sub optimal gear. Guess I rather see people leaving than leeching but still makes it so hard to end it.

    The first time this event was introduced (~6 months ago?) it took me all of three days to realize to just put up with it and get the multidimensional transporter parts. If you join a public queue and get a team that knows what they're doing - awesome! But more often than not you get a team that just wants to pew-pew most everything (not enough of everything to keep agro away from people trying to close rifts :( ) or an afker. I shudder to think what the advanced queues are like.

    A bitter pill to swallow, but it's only for another two more weeks.
