Sigh. First they punish people for making Skill Points in Japori. Now this.
People need to grind out their daily Transporter Device, you know. Taking away a day of grinding from the overall number of days for this event to be open is kind of a punk move there on Cryptic's part. That's stealing a day's worth of reward from legit players.
IMO, they should bring Mirror back online after patching their little hotfix but award everyone a free Transporter Device to make up for the lost day.
PS: Why couldn't they have just taken Mirror Advanced offline and kept Vanilla Mirror up, since that part of the event wasn't the problem.

I literally have 1.5 hrs per night to grind out mirror on my 7-8 characters. Now is that time and Cryptic has ruined it. Again, with the shenanigans, regardless of applying a hotfix for something that shouldn't have been broken in the first place... Does anybody actually quality test your builds before they get put out Cryptic?
Oh, ffs. One night w/o mirror drop isn't going to kill anyone. You only need 14 days out of 21 anyway.
How entitled can you get, kids? Seriously?
It's not about entitlement; it's about relaxing and just playing the game and getting the limited rewards whenever we get the chance. Not all of us have all of those 21 days available.
Depends on how long it's down.
If it's just a few hours, nothing will happen.
A day or more, they may extend it.
Or do nothing.
Also, this reeks of entitlement with the demanding of a free item.
I think this actually a legitimate claim as some people do have only a limited amount of time to play. They may not do anything about it at all, as we have 21 days total, but it is a legitimate claim nonetheless.

Since Cryptic is going to make the grinding of resources harder to obtain, we should get expect the opportunity to get what was offered in an event: 14 days to complete Event Mission, plus the 6 buffer days to generate our bonus.

It just happened not that long ago.
No need to break out the torches yet.
Patience, people.
No one is breaking out torches. If anyone is stirring things up, it would be you by saying that.
Yeah, sure.
They took it down to fix a clear, if hilariously stupid, bug.
They'll likely extend it by a day or so, depending on how long it's down.
I doubt they'll be giving free candy, like the OP suggested.
Wow, not a single person has even thought that Cryptic may extend the event to make up for this down time? That should be a players first expectation... not "OMGERD YOU RUINED EVERYTHING! GIMME GIMME GIMME!"
Yeah, sure.

I am not saying they should hand out free candy, but I am disputing your claim that someone asking for a bit of compensation for the lost time - whether it be in an extra day or not - is a stupid entitlement post.

Mirror invasion was down for under an hour, and you folks were on the forums demanding to know what Cryptic were going to do to make up for the lost time? Seriously?
Wow, just wow, you outdid yourselves this time, congratulations. lol
Oh and well done Cryptic for fixing a problem so quickly and with minimal actual fuss or inconvenience.;)
Cryptic isn't doing anything, other than fixing the Mirror Invasion Advanced que which was paying out 7200 in dilithium when completed. It's called doing their job, fixing bugs... before it becomes an exploit.

Cryptic purposely puts the awards at 14 days... in a 21 day event so that you don't have to play ever day to get the big reward. As far as Cryptic is concerned, and I have to agree, that they give you a ton of margin of error to skip a bunch of days and still get the big reward.
So yes it seems kind of entitled of you to think that a couple hour downtime demands you get free stuff, when you have days extra to make up for it. It's like demanding free stuff because they dropped the servers on Thursday for a patch for 2 hours and those of us who normally play during that time couldn't get on Mirror.

THANK YOU!
Seriously, this thread is the most ridiculous load of self entitled TRIBBLE I have seen in a long time. This one set a new low water mark for complaining and that's saying something.
The event was down a half an hour and this guy is demanding compensation.. unreal.

They made a mistake, and they're fixing it immediately, as they should on something that could be exploited easily.

It's not about patience. I don't have time during the week to always get on and grind. It's just simple math.

edit- ty varekraith for sounding logical.

Adding extra time is not.
Alright then, we are on the same page.
And it appears that that page is the last one in the book. (For this issue.) :P
Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
