So I have a tactical friend who really likes doing space PvP but after the release of DR now it seems that all sci officers use is feedback pulse, I thought I could help her but I'm at a lost for what she could do, but with a sci running full aux power and the buffing she just keeps killing herself any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I am posting her build below.

Eh, there was a time where I was all against FBP builds. Now that my tactical is unlocking particle manipulator trait next week, and after I tried the sheer power of a Faeht, I'm eager to reflect a six digit number lance.
Got access to the complete Vesta set, upgraded the Aventine (if you ever been to FBP underground X-Labs you should know why it's the absolute best for this task and partg stuff in general). Just gotta decide the ltcmdr and above sci powers to slot.
There's nothing you can do against these builds, except stop firing, or subnuke them.
- Don't use energy weapons, or don't use them as your primary weapons. FBPers can't reflect torps or kinetic damage.
- If you do employ primarily energy weapons, don't shoot when FBP is up.
- Attack the FBPer's aux power. Drains, target subsystem, disable, etc.
- Prevent the FBPer from being able to target you. (Quantum Singularity Manipulation works, so do other powers...)
- If you're a sci, hit the FBPer with a subnucleonic beam when you see it go up. Other means of stripping buffs from your target work as well. (Proton barrage, etc.)
Having looked at your friend's build, it's *extremely* vulnerable to FBP - totally focused on energy damage, which FBP is meant to counter. A few torpedoes and a KCB thrown into the mix can't hurt.
Y'know, I'd always heard about that power Vestas have, to reflect kinetic damage... but in all my time in Kerrat, I can't recall ever actually encountering it. Not even once, I think...
This could have something to do with being a Fed, and not having to fight Vestas.

I miss the Red Fed bug.
Good for you I suppose, lol
I remember I read once on my science character (unbuffed and still with WIP partG build) 1.4 reflect Kinetic.
With a tac using PM, things can get REAL bad.
I used to run a wells sci ship a long time ago that featured transphasics with ts2. apo1 (doffed into 2) pengs for good measure. Combined with tbr2 and tbr3 let's just say battlekax hated my build
Honestly I used to consider fbp a noob skill but with all these new intel vapers with surgical strikes **** it. FBP2 on your destroyer escort now if you can.

Wait, FBP2 on an escort? You have to be an idiot to do that. Leave science to science ships.
You want to take down a sci officer use science...
Voth Tractor Beam Repulsior officer with a exotic field particle accelerator and two copies of tractor beam repulsiors along with torpedoes and boom. No more enemy.

Hi, I use FBP2 on an escort. I'm a tac.
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 128688 (207027) FeedbackPulse(Critical) to Sayako.
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 79023 (170618) FeedbackPulse(Critical) to Motak Tubun.
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 109225 (130247) FeedbackPulse to Jonie.
These next three hits occurred simultaneously, for a triple kill:
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 67953 (73811) FeedbackPulse(Critical) to Minimax.
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 52819 (90888) FeedbackPulse(Critical) to Terentus.
[Combat (Self)] Your Feedback Pulse II deals 25315 (41213) FeedbackPulse(Critical) to Mr Happy 2.
That's not my only FBP triple kill, I've landed multiple. I've also landed a quad kill, but didn't manage to save it to my trophy log

lol I know you're the exception that confirmes the rule, seeing what you do in ker'rat. Point is, with an escort like the Aquarius having 2 science consoles and relying on speed to stay alive, reflect the kind of damage you're mitigating already makes no sense.
It's like I go pick up the Tempest, slot FBP2 (cause it can) because I'm convinced that now I rock and others will die 100%, because FBP.

You mean youve never seen the purple blobs of kinetic dmg reflected ?
It a console from the vesta

There is no way around except to stop firing if it hurts too much.
Scis are supposed to punish you in various painful ways, and there isnt much you can do about it as a tactical in that ship.

No I didn't, read again
Romulan cloak has a name you know
Tell this to a partG Vesta, and see how the torp comes back to the attacker with a much heavier payload
