Boff Weapons

I was wondering if it was only me that did this but does anyone else give their boffs weapons and equipment that their specific faction or species uses? If so, which ones?
I like to equip my Breen tactical officer with a CRM-200 and my Jem'Hadar with a Jem'Hadar elite full auto rifle. For my Ferengi crew, I give them energy whips.

DIsruptors and batleths go to my klingons, those giant pizza knives go to my Vulcan.

...That weird pink phaser rifle goes to my female tactical officer, my borg uses plasma.

I usually don't even think about it. I just give them random stuff with good stats.

Their guns are all Fleet Antiproton, and no exceptions. As for the armour and shields, that is all Omega Reputation.

Absolutely. My character with a Jem'Hadar has him rocking the full set; the one with Nelen Exil has him with a double-barreled Voth pistol; and so on.

I give mine Rep gear sets. MACO, Adapeted MACO, Omega, and Voth. for some reason I started colecting the ground sets. Probably a hold over from collecting Omega for the accolade before everything went to MK XII. But my Star Fleet personal are taylored in MACO / Omega outfits ( or thier uniforms before they took the visual button away).

It differs from character to character for me.

For Arkos, the bridge officers of the Archimedes are all armed with whatever esoteric gun he gives them, but sometimes I try to give them a weapon that reflects their particular role or specialization. Right now, for instance, Dr. Velnan Choll wields a Xindi biomatter rifle, science officer Neazri Sann is wielding the experimental anti-Devidian antiproton thingy, and security officer Brax is armed with a room-clearing thoron-infused polaron blast assault rifle. Others are simply armed with something suitable for their race: my Jem'Hadar, Vorak'Utaur, is armed with the full Dominion set, while Nelen Exil wields a Voth split-beam antiproton rifle.

My other characters, though, all stick rigidly to "canon" weapons for their faction. That means that all of my Federation BOFFS use phaser weapons, all of my Klingon Boffs use disruptors, and all of my Romulan BOFFs use plasma (Romulan plasma, where possible). There are a few exceptions just for the sake of coolness factor, though-- Lynathru's Tac girl, Farra, for instance, wields the Sword of Kahless, my renamed Satra has the Elachi hand cannon, my renamed Veril wields the plasma flamethrower, and my Tovan occasionally makes himself useful with the fancy lirpa from "Hearts and Minds."

Most of my bridge officers are some sort of deviant by their own society's standards so I rarely have them equipped with canonically appropriate gear. The general exception to this rule would be my Romulan BOffs, but that's mainly because I love the look and function of romplas weapons.
