I got this cruiser a few days ago and I would like to use it. At the moment I'm flying this one:

Any advices to improve the dmg? I am quite satisfied with the survivability but not with the dps.

Upgrading the phaser beams is no option at the moment. :) No dili left.

I've found that the benthan, Compared to every other cruiser I have used; turns on a dime. It wasn't long after I started using mine that I switched from using arrays to dual beam banks in the front and cannon turrets in the back. If I could put dual cannons on the front I would but that's just me.

The ship has 5 tactical BO abilities, so there isn't a great need for the Auxillary to Emergency Battery (A2B) skill in engineering, it should work fine without it.

    So, try this...

    LT Uni (ENG) ET1, EPTS2
    LCDR Tac TT1, APB1, BFAW3
    LT Tac TT1, APB1
    CDR Eng ET1, RSP1, EPTW3, A2SIF3
    LT Sci HE1, HE2/ TSS2

2 hazard emitters might be overkill, depending on playstyle, so slot TSS2 for more shield healing if you find you have too much hull healing

You'll need the following DOFFs in active duty space roster:
3 Purple/ VR damage control engineers (2 may be acceptable)
2-3 Energy Weapon officers that reduce recharge with beam special attacks

Cycle tac team, EPTS and EPTW as often as possible to get the shield rotation, damage resistance, a small shield heal every 30 seconds and energy weapon power boost/ damage boost.

If you don't have the damage control engineers, try....
    EPTS1, ET2
    TT1, APB1, BFAW3
    TT1, APB1
    EPTS1, EPTW2, EPTW3, A2SIF3
    HE1, HE2/ TSS2

2-3 Energy Weapon officers that reduce recharge with beam special attacks
2-3 Maintenance engineers to reduce recharge on Engineering Team

As for the other gear, I'm sure someone will be able to determine something more optimal, but it seems good to me. Your skills and specializations will make a big impact on damage and survival, so consider adding them too if you would like more input.

I hope that helps give you some ideas
