Fun with cats

ermanameermaname Member Posts: 113 Arc User
So, I've been trying to find more places like these to have my cats leap about and run around looking silly and cute and all that stuff cats do well.

In fleet starbase, if you have the commemoration pictures of old ships around where the meeting table is, if you jump up these and then use your cat whilst facing towards the glass window, the cat runs to the ramp and leaps (about 15 foot in the air) and runs over to you, which I find adorable and am happy to spend literally an hour or so doing for my own entertainment.

At ESD, climbing a pylon and using the cat, drops it to the floor where it then runs like mad to get back to you across half the station and up the pylon :)

Also up the pylon, if you are in the right place, near the top facing the wall but not against the wall, when deploying the cat it sometimes appears on your shoulder :o

In certain situations, if there are other pets or players or even npcs in the way, the cat can be forced to appear on top of them and continuously leap up and down, sometimes carrying on after the person/object in the way moves out the way, making hover cat.

Has anyone else found any fun things to do with the cats?

Not sure if it'll work with cats, but on Risa, at the place with the hoverboards, if you start in the water and then fly up to the bridge with the jet pack, the cat might jump up after you. It worked with me and my friend's risa monkeys.

the biggest drawback with all the sto no combat pets is remembering to launch them, often when i beam to a mostly non combat enviroment like new rom, ESD, starfleet academy ect i have many things on my mind and launching a pet is often an afterthought just as i am about to beam out.

i just wish you could select one non combat ground pet to auto launch whenever you beam to a ground zone.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

Put it in your ground tray. Lots easier to remember.

I'd like to see a cat riding an Exocomp. Probably would last more than a second or two because those things move and the cat follows you. I can't seem to get mine even close to doing it, but it jumps around like it's after a bug with all those tribbles lying around. They kinda make a funny noise when the the cat is there.

I have 10 pets in my ground tray :D Just managed to complete my cat collection, moving on to Voth Raptors. When I beam down, I just tap the key for the pet I want to load and am good to go until I move maps again. Slightly less of a hassle, but it does take up a bit of space on the ground tray. I'm running with 3 bars, more would be too cluttered for me, but I'm also out of space for abilities, so I might be making sacrifices soon.

I enjoy stomping cats' tails; sadly, they don't even notice... :(

Can we boot them around like the tribbles on the starbases yet? No? Meh, useless creatures.

You can get one (random one) from the Lobi Store for 30 Lobi crystals, or you can buy them from players on the exchnage where you can pick which particular breed you want to buy.
