just thought i'd share my phantom build. any tweak suggestions would be appreciated. doffs are 1 blue conn, 1 purple conn, 2 purple techs, 1 blue damage control engineer. I've tweaked it over the course of DR so its still wip.

I'm currently upgrading my turrets. I know csv is better for multiple targets but i seem to fly and fight against single targets so I went with crf to suit my style of one on one. I'm a joined trill, and my power levels are 100/15/15/70
I fly in while cloaked, buff up, decloak, hit them with torp spread and cannons, pop intel team and run, rins and repeat. i use hilbert guide keybind. I'm always looking for more pointers in how to fly, i am saving up to buy 5 of the fleet vulnerability locators, still short a couple 100k

I actually like cryptic and how sto is going. Im sorry that you dont feel the same about this game. I really do enjoy star trek and this game is the closest it gets to the series. You don't Have to buy anything if you want to play, i just happen to want to support cryptic so i can keep playing.
Now that we have our differing opinions out of the way, have you any advice on tweaks or anything like that with my build? If not then i thank you for your time to reply and opinion.
While it reminds me of the defiant I think the seating is an improvement; the LCdr Eng station could shore up it's survivability. While I don't think I'd do an all cannon build it's nice to see that tac ensign station is absent.
I'm going to look at retraining some of my bridge officers to make best use of the new seating but it's likely I won't deviate far from ship's equipment that fitted on the defiant. When I actually get a build underway I check back in; hopefully you'll get more constructive feedback on the thread. If I don't embarrass myself too badly I'll share what I came up with .
What does this have to do with the subject at hand... why not take you TRIBBLE poor attitude somewhere else.
Also do not forget about the intel skills. Surgical Strikes, Override Subsystem Safeties and Ionic Turbulence there very effective.
Its hard to do cloak hit in run with a standard cloak.. you in fact will lose out damage over time trying it. You really need a battle cloak to do it. best is to build your ship as you would a non cloaking ship, that means some survivability. Also I would go up toe pilot tree to get rock and roll and defensive buff for staying at full speed.
I look at cloak as a opener.. not something to try to use during sustainted fighting.

Crtdx2 crth DHC's
Nukara rep deflector/impulse for energy weapon damage boost
Amp elite fleet warp core
ResB elite fleet shield
2 mk14 neutroniums and lance console
leech and bioneural circuits
2x mk14 fleet locators, 3x mk13 fleet locators
Surgical strikes 3 = gun runs that make an A-10 jealous, subnuc wave for PVP use plus if there's a group of enemies why not.. override subsystem safeties is a tactical decision as to if you can deal with the subsystem loss (ie, you've got a good exit point for your gun run so you progress out of range)
Overall it does really well, in my opinion. Gun runs of 35k hits x4 melting most targets in one run. 3 gun runs and it'll kill a tarantula.
You can throw in ionic turbulence instead of SNCW if you want.
Nice, well reasoned post, eh?
I haven't bought a Phantom (considering it, though) but the following seem evident:
- Offers a BOff layout and abilities not otherwise seen
- Slightly more expensive (zen-wise) than legacy escorts
- Top of the line escort that, unlike the other Intel ships, has a recognisable design heritage (from the Defiant).
Given those, even if this was a T5 ship it would be a reasonable buy. Unless you're *so* bitter about DR that any T6 purchase contributes treason.
Couldn't get your link to work
Here's mine
It looked you like said aux2bat? Won't be needing that. Just get rare or better DCE/Aux2ID.
You'll have no ability issues and once you max reciprocity you'll also have to cut out duplicates.
Don't get locators. Get exploiters. SS gives a bonus to critical chance that you need to balance out with severity.
Cheers.
Drop one SS. Put a nice TS3 in there. This will hit and aggro many npc's. You will be under fire as long as it is practical to be under fire. Just keep pulling more and more npc's.
Now go back to cannons.
Peace.
