So, a proper iridescent aztecing hull pattern? I'm impressed Cryptic. :)

I'm trying it out on my Eclipse right now; it looks pretty cool. The difference between light and shadow can be a little extreme (in bright light the panels look almost white, while in shadow they look black); but the effect is neat despite this.

One little gripe, it's still a little heavy on the panel gaps. Wouldn't there be less need for carved in hull plating sections if there is an aztecing effect?

---EDIT---

Or is it 'pearlescent'? 'Opalescent'...?

At first I kinda thought "meh" on the type 7, couldn't really see much about it that was special, but when it catches the light the right way it's another story.

I snapped a couple screenies with it on my Eclipse. On one you cant see as much detail with the light but in the other, it's darker and the material stands out more.

Edit: Dont suppose we could get this skin on more ships, could we? ;):D
