I would like to say "Thank You Cryptic and P.W.E" and I do actually mean that. With the launch of Delta Rising I finally get to feel like I'm actually doing something in the game instead of just endless grinding for resources that were just piling up.
The new story line is fun and exciting (except for the Talaxian heavy mission at the beginning) granted the Vadwaar are very annoying with their Tricobalt barrages but that is what makes it fun. Having to come up with new tactics and strategies, especially when you think that the new Captain Specialization skills require a Tier 6 ship do use so imagine my surprise when I found out that they actually did work without a Tier 6 ship. I'll admit I squealed like a schoolgirl when I sent my Fleet Excelsior into a barrel roll. And the bobbing and weaving when a ship gets into the flanking position adds a whole new level to the combat system.
I would also like to say I'm glad with the higher difficulty to the STF's because I could go into Hive Onslaught Elite before Delta Rising and complete it with all optional's being completed and with out dieing unless I get hit by the Lance from one of the Unamatrix's. Yes being able to tank/solo a Borg Tactical Cube was fun for a little time but it got old pretty quick. So it is kinda refreshing the the Borg finally have some teeth again.
The Tier 5-U system for most ships is wonderful in my opinion, being able to get a little more life out of ships we have put so much time and effort to tweak just the way we wanted them, I have seen the Tier 6's in action and I am thinking of getting the Guardian, I love my Tier-5 ships. Some were free upgrades and some cost me some resources (which was to be expected), and we should be grateful that they gave us that option because weather we like it or not we could have been forced into either getting a Tier-6 ship or not being able to progress in the new content.
Also I actually like the new Duty Officer menu, it is a lot easier to read and choose which mission you want to do. Yes if you have a full 20 jobs set to being wrapped up so you can claim the rewards from them it can take a min or two for them all to finish, found an easy way to wait for this. Just pop over the the dilithum mine near DS9 and the Fleet Mine and run the daily mining, by the time you are done the Duty Officer Missions are ready to be claimed.
The new crafting system defently makes things interesting, especially with the upgrading of current equipment. I have only started the upgrade process on my equipment for my ships and ground crew. So yes I made it to Level 60 with out using the exploit in the Romulan System, with out spending any Specialization Points and with out have gear higher then MK XII. It took a while and some of the fights were extremely long, but it was worth it.
So again many thanks to the people at Cryptic and P.W.E. for the new content, and many thanks for fixing problems as they come up. I realize there is only so much you can do in 1 week so every fix that happens is very welcomed. The only request I have is a fix to the toolbar, which is probably already in the works and when it comes out hopefully there will be many thanks given.
And I have a feeling that if things keep going the way they are when we finally get to meet up with the Iconians, they wont know what hit them after we regroup from the initial pasting they will hand us.

Why does everything have to devolve in to negativity? There are 3324642 negative threads...some of us actually LIKE this game.
Because obviously you havent spent the amount time and money as alot of us have only to have Cryptic lie to us and pull the rug out from under us by dumping this half-a$$ed contraption called Delta Rising shoved down our throats in a brown paper bag with razorblades and then they have the nerve to ask us why we swallowed it with a smile 5 days after it was dropped...we surely cheated they said.
In real life no one demands a dissatisfied customer give thanks. I think the same holds true on the internet, in the only place most customers can offer feedback.
If you feel there's too much negativity, you should really be asking the Devs why they have failed to respond to their customer's complaints. This is what some of the more moderate voices here have focused their criticism.
In short, no. Thanks do not need to be given for tedious gameplay coupled with a massive cash grab. Thanking the Devs which call you a cheater for playing the content they released is simply bizarre.
Fixing even a third of the hundreds of reported bugs would be a start.

That's great, glad it works for you, it doesn't for many of us.
Regardless, kindly do re-read the OP's nice smooth selling pitch, find one dislike if you can.
Viral marketign at its best, the only thing missing is faux critique at the end, something along the lines of "The only issue with Delta Rising is that it's too awsome to handle." or "The bad thing is that Cryptic didn't make Delta Rising sooner."

The Doff UI is a big step backwards. The big delay to get them all to finish is also a setback. I find it ridiculous that players enjoy having to remove and then replace doffs to get the high crit results they want, specifically the Support missions. The quote from the original poster above is ridiculous.

Hehe, read the whole block of it, it's a blueprint of what Cryptic/PWE expected to be average player's reaction.

Disclaimer from above: I actually work for PWE
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck..then it must be a PWE/Cryptic employee.

HK-47 would be the coolest dev or community manager ever.
