T6 ships suck anyway, so I just upgraded a few fleet ships
Not everyone wants to play more than one faction, in this game you reach a point.where it's the same missions, and there is no point playing another faction besides taste in ships.
Have you even tried a T6 ship?
I agree that if there not careful they will eliminate the need to play another faction hell my romulans got to lvl 50 before the cardassian story arc and i skipped most of it because i had done it 3 times before.
This is a problem The old republic faced with its first expansion, all the same no difference, if cryptic want to milk the game there gonna have to start thinking about separating at least one or new missions to be faction specific.

1. You already have the T5 ship, some of which are free to upgrade. Buying an upgrade module is a cheaper route than buying a new T6 ship.
2. T5u has +1 Console Advantage
3. More ship options compared to these options at T6: 3 Fed Intel, 2 Fed regular, 1 KDF Intel, 1 KDF regular, 1 Rom Intel, 1 Rom regular, 1 Lockbox Cruiser, 1 Lockbox Escort.
The only true statistical + for T5u is the console advantage, but that will evaporate when the Fleet T6 are out. Not to mention the T6 Benthan Lockbox / Lobi ships already negate that T5u console advantage.
T6 already has 13 BOFF skills. Last thing I knew about math, 13 BOFF skills at T6 > 12 BOFF skills at T5/T5u > Any KDF BOP Universal Skill Count which are stuck at 11
The ship options at T6 are limited now, but Fleet T6 WILL come as the devs have stated, as well as newer additions to T6.
Not to mention ONLY T6 ships have the T5 Starship Mastery Traits, which T5/T5u does not get. Once you've mastered the trait, you can use up to 4 on any ship, including T5/T5u. But you NEED to get a T6 ship and get that mastery first.
How you guys go about thinking T6 is an advantage only in PVP is beyond me and baffling.
At least LoR had a decent story thread. It really looked like people who were interested in Star Trek put it together. Delta Rising is more a mish-mash of "let's sprinkle a bunch of ST ideas around in a Sector and see what sticks... hmm not enough, rebadge some old Exploration Patrols, we told them they weren't good enough for our lofty ideals but maybe with a voiceover they won't notice".

But that's not profitable...plus a lot of people just have one character and most of those one characters I imagine are Fed.
Can't have a honest conversation because of a white knight with power
I was thinking of buying the DR pack, except that doing so won't give me anything to make the game as fun as it was before DR, those intel powers won't cancel out the massive pile of HP lazily slapped on everything, and the XP gain rate has been slowed to a crawl or nothing.
if queues weren't ruined, and you were garaunteed some progress (1/5 a specialization point's worth of XP would be fine) then I'd be inclined to pony up a pile of my cash and slowly improve my characters.
But with what's been done to STO, I'm not paying, and maybe I'll even stop playing too.

The strengths of T6 is not a PVP or PVE thing. It's an STO thing
Look at the basic advantages T6 has over T5u. Every advantage is an advantage. Right now, there are 3 advantages for T5u.

Delta is just a very bad rehash, so why we call it an expansion I don't know, feels more like a season content wise...
