Recently I have submitted several request to get little things fixed that would actually make the game...playable!
There are just tiny things like ship load-outs that instantly disappear when you change instances to include but not limited to bof's missing, trays being reorganized, abilities dropping off trays and the all too popular ship strip of weapons, shields and consoles. While the dev's may find these little issues petty, most of us find them to make game play impossible...but then what do players really know?
There is another issue that doesn't allow bridge officers to be trained by their romulan captain. So unimportant abilities like DEM 3 of BFW 3 are no longer trainable. These little traits are only important to those that know a little about the game, which is probably only one or two people at most.
Yesterday, I discovered that the Breech has a new challenge, repair ships that are completely invinceable unless you have point defense on your ship. This is only a problem, of course, if you want to actually complete the mission.
These are just a few bugs that I have noticed since the Delta season began. Here is the response that Cryptic finally gave me with my request for gm help, "Please be assured that our developers will investigate the issue, however, it is not possible for us to determine when the issue will be fixed. This is why we recommend posting in our Quality Corner so it can be looked at by our QA and Development teams. We truly appreciate you playing and supporting our games!"
So it is impossible for the to know when the issue will be fixed? O.K. let's just say this is a diplomatic way of saying, "we don't care." Now, some people working for Cryptic probably have children to feed or at least a home to pay for. My guess is they need money. In order to keep customers returning, I have found through my own business of 18 years that my customers expected results and if I didn't give it to them they didn't come back.
Let's just pretend for a minute that it doesn't matter if Cryptic fixes the game, except for exploitations so they can spend valuable time investigating human nature to take advantage of a game glitch, let's just say people like coming to a broken game and have lots of money. Cryptic could sell the bug fixes to individual players, that way the overtime at the office would be paid for and for those that are willing to pay, all the bugs would be fixed! Maybe, have a monthly subscription to auto bug fixes! Recurring revenue is always nice!
OK That doesn't sound fair? How about not coming out with season 10.5 and actually spend time fixing the bugs? I would gladly sacrafice a bit of game content that doesn't work for a no new game content that does work!
I so want to say really, really bad things about this game and what I really think, but I'm biting my tongue in hopes of a one day fixed Star Trek game with devs that actually care about what is broke and not about how long the facial hair should be on my female toon or how big the TRIBBLE and rib cage get on my male toon.
For the love of Star Trek, after 3 years of constant bugs, please, please start fixing them and quit blowing off your players!
Start fixing bugs! e.g. the steadily decreasing "agility" of DOff interface...

I love this game been playing since 2012. As a lifetime member I must agree with previous posters. There are many bugs that need fixing. Some are not necessarily critical but others are. I myself am expierencing problems with my ship. I have to keep adding my abilities back to the ship I am using in space combat. I have not changed the ship for days. Before the update some of my bridge officers are not in ship bridge stations despited saving the load out.
Fixjng bugs takes away development time from content. Content makes money, fixing bugs doesn't. So it's never going to happen. They don't care. There's no integrity left, only money.

hehe that's why I suggested Cryptic charging individuals to have just our account bugs fixed, that way if they wanted to work a little over-time they would be compensated

The sheer number of bugs in this game is insane. Crypitc never bothered to fix them when they appeared, and now there's a ton more from the acquisition. And now...it might actually be hopeless. The codes are stacked, so to speak, and altering one of the older ones would likely damage something else put in more recently.
All reality aside, there's a TON of stuff the devs could fix in X2, but they simply refuse to do so. The solution is for them to DO THE BUG FIXES, but it isn't going to happen. Nice try, but I'm not a fan of hopemongering.
My Old Blog about things that could and should have been added when I wrote it. Not sure what I want to do with it now. I'll just keep it available now that most of it is outdated.
There have been bugs in this game that are 3+ years old and some of which were squashed, later returned.
The bugs you have mentioned might not seem much, but they may take a lot of time and resource to fix which have some already point out, these bugs if fix, don't provide them with a direct benefit which is $$$.
But don't worry, if there are any bugs in which it effects the player in a positive way that is not intended, it will be fix right away, because again...$$$.

Anyway, there will always be bugs in the video game world. However, with the direction things have been going towards(pretty much from release), with more bugs being added and less being fixed, the integrity of the game continues to deteriorate with each 'patch'.
Retired. I'm now in search for that perfect space anomaly.
so sad that so many of Cryptics clients see this and yet Cryptic remains silent and does nothing, unless, of course, we find a bug that benefits the clients...there in seems to hold the truth about fixing things that fix their wallets!
And let's not forget the last patch fixed knee cap shapes and fog on a ship...things that make this game completely unplayable!

It is a peculiar phenomenon that we can imagine events that defy the laws of the universe.

Bug fixes dont work on cryptic only money
