Ok so did anyone else notice how this expansions lockbox and unique ships *not counting the C-Store ships* plus weapons, both space and ground had Nothing to do with the Vaadwaur ?
I find that a bit odd, considering how much more detail was put into there ground weapons when compared to the corrosive plasma weapons, which btw Crytic, look like TRIBBLE!...Seriously. I have seen better drawings from my 12 year old nephew then those things!....
And after flying one of the Vaadwaur ships durring a mission *not saying which
* I don't see why they didn't make a few of them playable I mean it was totally decked out! etc etc.
An there space weapons OMG I love there effects! even if they are Polaron I'd use them in a heart beat! lolz
Also, there clothing, I was actually Expecting to see that at least hit the Lobi store, But nope, not a Thing in there
.
So really ? Cryptic, Are you coming out with a Vaadwaur based lockbox ? Cause I am not the only one that was surprised that this current expansions lockbox had NOTHING to do with any of the major factions with in the story whether it was alliance based or Vaadwaur *preferably Vaadwaur
*.
Anyone else a bit surprised, yet also a bit irritated about this ? I know its a bit early to start griping but this is quite unusual >.>.

Definitely one of the highlights of the expansion.

USS Casinghead NCC 92047 launched 2350
Fleet Admiral Stowe - Dominion War Vet.
Especially the chest gear and backpacks they have which use the Omega Force style
If Cryptic insists on making these available as microtransactions... Z-store, fine, but absolutely not as something you have to gamble for with lockboxes (I have come to dislike the things, but an elaboration upon that is beyond the purview of this thread).
Their infantry gear would also be plausible additions to the rep store, in keeping with the precedent set by the others for reverse-engineering OPFOR technology (most notably, Omega and Nukara).
An independent lobi-store unlock (or something you get with a Vaadwaur lobi boff) is more or less a given for the inevitable Vaadwuar lock box (they already have one playable Vaad ship in game). Reputations BTW generally give out a customizable armor set, it would be nice if they expanded that out and included more themed customization options but as they haven't yet its hard to hope for/expect a sweet trench coat :P.
Have you ever seen Star Trek IV? That's why [minus the whales and mid-late 80's pop culture.]
(And BTW, most of the world's military forces use equipment that wasn't produced by their "faction." While you may not have seen the US fielding the captured german U-Boats WWII you certainly see South Africa, Brazil, Vietnam, and so on and so forth using equipment other countries produced. British warplanes on American carriers, French warships in the Russian fleet. Its only in the world of dramatic TV/Movie productions that a clear, uncrossable line exists between one team's gear and another's (since faction recognition is an important visual story telling device that if you take a more practical look at the medium doesn't need to be adhered to.)
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence

Why always Lobi? Why not C-Store or Free Unlock?
I dont understand why the playerbase is asking to pay more and more money.

It may sound strange, but there's a decent amount of players out there who have large stockpiles of lobi and nothing they want to spend it on. I find that some of them ask for more things to be added to the lobi store so that they can actually pick up something they like instead of just sitting on piles of the stuff.

There's also the question of availability. For example the Voth are an enemy faction in STO. Should players then have general access to their customization options? Well, no because that creates a more complicated economic/social/political situation between the FED/KDF/RR and the Voth than the game is intending to through direct story telling (because the explanation for why would have to be that there's some sort of background interactions [economic/political/social and so on] taking place to provide Voth gear and motivate AQ captains to wear it)
But even still it would be cool in a video game for interest players to wear the stuff (its content, cryptic made it, and despite the STO universe it would be nice to have it). So channels like lobi and lock boxes exist to limit access via difficult to aquire currencies or controllable probability values (referring to off-faction ships.)
If we ever get Vaadwaur uniforms you can bet that it won't be for free or from the c-store. On the other hand, for friendlier faction gear (ex. Kobali and Heirarchy) you can make a stronger argument (as clearly someone did for Talaxian clothing.)

I'd give you an idea... buy Lobi Ships and sell them on the exchange. Profit

Fret not, they must keep the health of their Ferrengi gambling business going strong. Vaadwaur ships will be released in a future gambling cube tailored just for you!
Why? Mainly because its been the established way to obtain non faction Outfits/weapons/ships/equipment
C-store is special stuff, but normally stuff from your faction
Personally I don't care all that much what currency it is, I'm just assuming lobi store due to cryptics own established conventions
And that brings up something else that may seem strange. Some of those players with large lobi stockpiles also already have massive EC stockpiles. It actually becomes a waste of lobi to spend it on ships. It's basically throwing it away for something they have no need for.

That's like asking me and others to not use the Obilisk Carrier when they were giving them out for free...because its Iconian based o.O? lolz..
And besides that what's the point in an MMO if there are no options ? That's like saying my character can only use Phasers cause he's a Human in the Federation ?
Also I'm not exactly a fan of the new T6 Fed Intel ships minus the Eclipse, so my Human tac could use something that is well, more appealing! o.O An the Vaadwaur ships to me anyway are more appealing then the Phantom, don't get me wrong its decent when tweaked but that is about it with me lolz.
I just hope that what some of you have said is true and that they Do actually release a Vaadwar based Lockbox, cause I am looking forward to there space weapons and ground weapons, as well as there ships too ofc :P.

I believe that is klingon honor guard, though I could be wrong
Could be, but if so, then Cryptic totally recycled that look for Vaadwaur. Same ridge on the head, same style eye covering.
Yeah, that's Klingon Honor Guard, Be'ves I think.
