I want to see an assortment of these in the next lockbox, they'd probably be my very favorite weapons, and I love their sounds! They actually sound like real guns and sound like they have some real kick behind them! I was at least partially happy with the one gun we get in the final mission as a reward but it's glitchy and it's sound sometimes reverts to the usual polaron effects.
Now I'd like to have some more like sniper, auto rifles and beam/bolt pistols of the Vaadwaur type! Make it so devs!
The Vaadwaur ARE the next lockbox (as the Elachi were after the Tal Shiar box), and will have all the goodies you want from them. Interesting to note that the Vaadwaur don't use beam weapons (except maybe that orange ghostbuster gun). All of their weapons will no doubt be space cannon variations and bolt rifles and pistols.

Where do we know that to be sure? It seems logical they would be next but I'd certainly like to know for sure. And I actually hadn't noticed they never used beams but any case, I'll love any bolt weapons they have! So I'll be one very happy fox either way!
All signs do point to it being the next box. Really it's too juicy of a pick for it to NOT be the next box - the barrage, the anti-proton phase field, their unique weapon graphics, etc. To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised they didn't make it the first lockbox of Delta Rising.
(I hated how the Voth, and Undine, box was released the moment they were featured. It's a lot more fun from a gameplay and 'story' standpoint if you have to fight an enemy for a 'season' before you start to capture their equipment and get to use their toys.)
As a side note, I REALLY hope we'll get a Devore Box at some point, their ships/species just scream 'Intelligence Warfare'.

Unless I missed info on them somewhere, the Devore have been strangely absent from DR, despite us being in or at least near their space. Maybe we'll see them next year.
Oh yeah, I also really want that cool full body suit some of them Vaadwaur wear too! One thing's for sure, I'm saving up big time for this lock box, despite all the doom and gloom and discontent around here lately, which I can't blame the players for, I do want Cryptic to know at least they really outdid themselves on creativity with the Vaadwaur, and that's why I want their stuff! The only thing I'm afraid of is they don't look like they'd have a ship that's truly science heavy since I only play my science Caitian these days, but only time can tell what capabilities they'd have.

Except that on the flip side the Undine and Voth didn't use cannons (but the lock box still contained undine and voth cannon weapons) and neither did the Elachi use beams. I'd expect to see the customary handful of ground weapons with a full compliment of space weapons.

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!

So have the Kremin, except that they both do show up in a few scattered pieces of intel listing the Vaadwuar's conquests (big theme of DR: political landscape of the DQ has changed.)
Given especially that Vaadwuar assets have already been made (including at least one ship with a playable layout) there's probably not much use in speculating about any new additions to the DQ lineup just yet.

Ah, I forgot about those. lol
Guess they'll probably get beam variants, which I hope are just as cool as their bolt and cannon weapons.
IMO the Vaadwaur species is the best part of this expanse. Their weapons, their coats, their masks , everything looks like inspired First World War. I like that "Fallout" style and i want them too!
Yes, by all means... but absolutely not as things you have to gamble for. Instead, I would propose the following:
have the uniforms be unlocked with the various 'kill X Vaadwaur' accolades (a couple of new ones might have to be added, such as 'kill X Vaadwaur techs (soldiers, commandos, or officers)' to get the tech accessories). Alternatively...
drop all the uniforms into the Z-store as a 'Vaadwaur Regalia Bundle';
in keeping with other reps' tendency to reverse-engineer OPFOR tech, add another store tab to the Delta rep - this would have all the Vaadwaur infantry gear. Maybe it could be distinct from the regular store tab in that its contents are unlocked as you complete the Kobali Prime missions
Aside from the various weapons, infantry gear would also encompass the drones and the 'shield extension' sometimes seen; these would, like the new intel tools, manifest as universal kit modules.

I'm sorry to people who I, in the past, insulted, annoyed, etc.

it's not that i am looking for more attention on that thread, not at all..... :P
I think adding a re-species token to the game finally makes sense, but it only lets you become Kobali.
