First off this is not complaint about the locked tau dewa patrols, which appear to be the hot topic now. This is more about the Scaling down. Why should i lvl 60 be scaled down in the undine space battle zone? OH nooo you played, you farmed, you payed but you can not play as lvl 60 against lvl 50 undine, go show off somewhere else. Why we should be scaled down in the lower instances? Even if you grind all there is to grind in a lot of cases you are nerfed with this scaling down. Why is it necessary?
I don't see the issue. You still have your new traits, ships, specializations, and gear. So it says your fighting at level 50? So? You still have everything that makes level 60 matter.
Actually it might not be a bad idea to have you stay at level 60 shooting level 50 mobs. That way you'll gain the proper (i.e. lower) XP for shooting the lower level mob, instead of gaining a xp that a level 50 shooting level 50 mobs would gain. I think the main problem is that loot tables tend to favor damage dealers though? So loot drops (EC distribution) would be lopsided whenever level 60 people go into level 50 areas.
Eh, after living through several expansions worth of nerfs/patches/adjustments/etc in WoW? Nah, I'm pretty used to MMOs making all sorts of adjustments. Without deciding it's some great conspiracy. /shrug
(Man, the raging over this Tau thing is pretty /popcorn to watch. It's hilarious how many people didn't see it coming a mile away. Seriously, every MMO I've played, when some super-duper-uber farming strategy was found - be it XP, gold, equipment, whatever - it was promptly squished. Basic hint - if it seems too good to be true, it is. And don't expect it to last.)
That and the devs are mad because eveyone hates the new 'content' / Episode Patrol missions... whatever they are. And yes it is very irritating and I can tell others feel the same because my friend list which usually peaks at 10-12 online has been peaking at 3-4 since DR launched. Ignore the claims this launch was a success, it was an epic fail.

Well it is very frustrating especially when my tac oddy get nerfed to 60k hull instead of my regular lvl 59 81k. My Crit chance is also nerfed (little but still). and oh yes almost every single one stat is. All their exploit problems will be solved if NPC give constant xp value based on their Level and if we are allowed to blast them with our shiny toys at full capacity.
EDIT: Here is something else, imagine you are a lvl 54 new player you have found a few good things, but you are still far behind for the advanced events. Well at least you will complete normal faster. WAIT - you won't because you are scaled down.

Because it's a lvl 50 zone. In cooperative combat zones players are leveled to a common tier. Lvl 50 for these battle zones, over on Nimbus you would be level 26. You are already bringing some extra things to the table being past 50....... you don't need to be facerolling NPC's and taking away targets from lvl 50 chars which need the area for progression.

Also the NPC in all adventure zones have high respawn rate so there is really no way to stop a player who need XP. The XP gained there is also minimal. And i am referring more to the endgame zones - Voth, Tholian, Undine, Borg - there are hardly any players for xp there, and the story content is minimal to say (even that may be overstatement). All i am asking is to remove this ridiculous constant scaling up and down and let me be LVL 60 just as before i was able to be almost everywhere lvl 50. Before the Scaling down was only on nimbus - now i feel like a YOYO - lvl 50 here, 60 there, 30 in the middle of nowhere.
