Benthan SDO doff from Delta Operations pack

Has anyone got a clue whether the Benthan Shield Distribution officer that comes in the Operations Pack actually works in active duty?

All his description says is that he heals for 0.2% of hull per weapon activation. On a beamboat with 10 attacks per second, that should be noticeable.

Yet I haven't noticed a thing. And neither is anything in the combatlog.

So, does this Benthan actually work? Or is the descrption wrong?
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Description is wrong as it does work, but only for the duration of Attack Pattern Beta.

    Can't say if it works with other attack patterns as I have yet to try it with them.

    At best it feels like a very weak hazard emitters sans cleanse and resists, but every little helps and it does go nicely with the pilot spec tree that grants temporary hp when an attack pattern is used.:)

    Well, I've been using AP Alpha and Omega throughout. So that answers the question about other attack patterns. Apparently it's just limited to Beta (or perhaps also Delta, but that seems unlikely now).

    I use him along with Beam Array: Fire at Will.

    I also slot the Reciprocity trait from the Phantom Escort, so the recharge on AP:Beta and BA:FaW are closer to 15s on average than to 30.

    With BA:FoW active, each array makes 5 attacks per cycle, at each of two targets, for 10 attacks total. 10 seconds duration is enough for 3 cycles or so. With 8 arrays, you're getting 240 attacks into the span of AP:Beta, 240 * 0.2% = 48% of your max hull strength.

    The heal is actually quite strong.
