why do i feel this expansion Delta Rising is more like a Disappointment Rising ?
At Old Level 50, we could get a maximum of 366.000 skill points
300.000 space max. and 100.000 ground max. which would come to 400.000 to fill both
on the new expansion, we get the Level cap increased from 50 to 60 but we can't put more skill points ...
instead get some "specialization" instead ... but Waite, didn't they limited the space and ground reputation traits to 4 slots each, because "you could activate too many" !?
So, how is that they come up with a hole new sort of "extra reputation traits" again ?
i have 2 suggestions :
1 - i think in this new season, would be very welcome, to be able to increase the maximum points from 366k to 400k, wile still keeping the Maximum ground and space limits (300k and 100k)
with that, people could have characters that would be playable on both ground and space, rather than having a focus on just one of them.
2 - considering that were getting another Reputation school (making it 6 total) i suggest that we get an additional Reputation slot on the 5th and 6th reputation that we claim tier 5.
i think this would make some sense and more appealing to play this new season that has a lots of added grind for little to no reward (compared we had stuf max at MK XII)

By providing ample traits, but limited slots for those traits, people will need to more carefully choose what traits they are going to use, creating much greater diversity and customisation, not to mention trait builds that are specific to certain roles or situations...
Without these limitations, everyone falls into the old trap of 'cookie cutter' builds...
Though I do agree, the ability to gain additional trait slots would indeed be nice, it would then start to create a greater gap between old and new players...
What I personally would like to see, in relation to Traits changes, is a 'Traits Loadout' feature, much like the Ship Loadouts, so that you can quickly chop-and-change between trait builds...
See. The limit to one Primary and one Secondary specialization ("specialization trait loadouts" already exist in game. Its what each tree is, though within each there's isn't much room for customization. Rather you can think of them as a pre-build set of class attributes which you're free to prioritize the leveling of.)

Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
I was referring to Traits (ie, Helmsman, Soldier, Lucky, Romulan Operative etc), not the new Specialisations...
I can already envisage where the Specialisation system is heading, and feel it's a nice addition... I would just really like to see the 'revamped' Traits system be tidied up somewhat, especially if we're going to keep accruing new traits as time goes by...
