Where is my new liberated borg BO?

tragamitestragamites Member Posts: 424 Arc User
So the Roms get another Borg BOff and i have to ask why they get one and not the Fed or KDF? Roms now have 5 Borg BOff options while Fed and KDF only get 3 options. Why can i not outfit my ships and away teams as Borg?

Roms have a Eng, Tac 2 Sci and an intel BOff.
Fed and KDF can only claim a Eng and 2 Sci Borg BOff.

Can you please make more LBBOff for the rest of us, the Roms are not the only group liberating the Borg!

Romulans are restricted in their player races. They only have 2 races compared to the Federation having 14 races and the Klingon Empire having 7 races. I didn't count Alien and Liberated Borg in the lists.

What does that have to do with them getting all the Borg BOffs? Or DOffs for that matter?

There will always be the discrepancy between Liberated Borg Bridge Officers between the Romulans and the other factions due to there being only 2 races on the Romulan side. Not everyone wants a unique Liberated Borg Bridge Officer. Others want unique Vulcan, Lethean, Gorn, Nausicaan, Rigelian, Caitian, or some other race. .

It would be nice to have more Liberated Borg races especially not another Human, Klingon, or Romulan, but everyone has different tastes so Cryptic can't play favorites. Considering that we are now in the Delta Quadrant, there are tons of Liberated Borg available that won't be another Human, Klingon, or Romulan.

Roms get access to all these options in BOffs so why are they special with the liberated Borg BOffs? Roms have access to a human or Klingon eng, human? Sci,Rom Sci, Rom Intel and Reman tac LBBOff. I dont think the lack of Character race options validate them having all these options of Borg BOffs.

So what type of unique Bridge Officer can Romulans get that is not Romulan, Reman, or Liberated Borg? Take a look at the Intel Bridge Officer pack. What race could they have replaced the Liberated Borg Romulan with that would make sense for a Romulan faction?

This. They couldn't put a human, or a Vulcan, or a Klingon, or a Gorn, or a Nausican in there. Of course, before DR went life I was hoping that the pack officers would have been randomly made/chosen when the pack was opened so everyone didn't get the same. In that case, the Romulan pool would have been chosen from the allied races too.

Who really cares about Liberated Borg? They're pretty damn'd lacklustre compared to many other Boffs available in-game... I really don't see people's fixation with them...

Besides, if the Romulans got any Intel Boff that Fed or KDF should be upset about, it's the Reman Tac with Superior Operative AND Superior Infiltrator...

Fed and KDF got nothing even close to this... Don't get me wrong, I'm wrapped for my Romulan characters, but Fed and KDF Intel Boffs were pretty 'meh' all round IMO for Space traits - ground traits were pretty decent however...

I'd like a Lib Borg BOFF for the sole reason, as to how I theme my crew. It's disappointing that we don't get more, given this is Delta Quadrant...

The latest Lib Borgs for Rommies have 2 Space Traits. That's what is BS to me. Might even be 3 Efficient, Superior Operative and Subterfuge. As a fed, I'm stuck with if I want efficient, I have 2 Borg and then stuck with a lizard. Only my Tac Slots can get Sup Rom Operative and then I am limited to leadership for Humans or a Naussican, which would cost the most of them all or longest time.

I am expecting a Liberated Borg Bridge Officer from the Cooperative, Unimatrix Zero, or some other Liberated Borg faction. Something tells me that we haven't seen all that the Delta Quadrant has to offer and it will likely be a few seasons before we move on to the next area of space.

Well, without throwing spoilers, I hope to see more of the storyline to be related to helping the Cooperative.. I'd hoped we would get a Borg Boff from one mission in particular, but it seems Romulans got one, when Fed's didn't get all that interesting option... can't shake of the feeling of disappointment, and it'd be at least fair, to be given a choice of Intel boff's from this particular mission.. it'd even make sense, given the nature of this particular mission,m where we get an Intel boff as a reward. :(

I'm not saying they shouldn't have gotten this but IMO every Intel BOff pack should have had 1 Borg BOff.

How about introducing Hirogen as part of the Roms after all they worked with the empire and they didn't hunt themselves to extinction thanks to Voyager. They have ties to the Delta quadrant so add them to the Rom numbers along with sulaban.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cryptic picked the most popular races of each faction to generate their list for the Intel Bridge Officers from the Ops Pack.

Hirogen are not acceptable for a Romulan Republic race due to them having ties with the Romulan Star Empire. They are enemies to the Romulan Republic. Not as much of an enemy as the Tal Shiar and Elachi, but they still represent the oppression of the Romulan people before the Romulan Republic was founded.

Or at least have the Seven of Nine implants work for all characters instead of just female Federation and female Federation-aligned Romulans.

Roms get another what? Where? When? How? What division is it? Is it Intel? These are important questions to me because a Lib. Borg Rom Intel officer is the most perfect thing imaginable for my Rom Sci captain and I really really want one.

Does it really matter? Anyone who knows what they're doing aren't going to use them anyways.....unless they have some better racials than Romulan boffs? Which I kinda doubt...

Irellevant, they arent part of the republic.

even the suliban specifically asked to be left alone.

Romulans must also remain neutral so its not like they can go round claiming territory without the races permission and the 2 other factions.

so yeah they have no choice no matter how many you suggest randomly from the Tau Dewa sector block.

This is something they need to change about alien gen is that they should have access to everything IMO.

Costume options need to be opened up more and alien gen or character gen really needs to look like this.
