Here's the thing, IF it is his old girlfriend, and IF its a recent thing, it's quite possible his body was preserved in the vacuum of space(forgetting decompression for now). and she went looking for it the past few decades and finally found it...

the real question is will they expand on this story line or just leave it up in the air as something creepy.
Knowing Cryptic, it will stay in the air for the next years, and they'll finally dig it up, make a short mission, and be done with it.
Also, they'll change the face of Harry Kim, without any reasons, to make it look really weird.

When I saw this reveal, it had a confusing effect because I didn't know or forgot about the "real" Harry dying... Voyager just wasn't my show for the earlier seasons

I thought this stasis Kim was the Demon PLanet version or just someone had randomly cloned Harry on his many (mis)adventures in the Delta Q
Deep Space Nine in HD, make it so!

Harry Kim died in the second season and the Harry Kim we know for most episodes is from another dimension where his Voyager was destroyed. Makes sense for the Kobali to recover the original Harry Kim's corpse.

Didn't Naomi WIldman die in that eoisode as well, as a baby, and they brought her back from the other universe as well?

Just a bunch of dimnesion-hopping kidnappers is what they are...

At any rate, I don't think that Kim is the same Kim that died, etc. I tihnk the one is statis is the real Kim... Capt Kim is a plant, possibly a Kobali 'keepsafe' or backup plan... sleeper agent....

Oh, who am I kidding? Cryptic isn't that creative...

The dead Kim wears yellow, so he has to be the Voyager S2 "Deadlock" Kim that was blown into space.

"Take good care of you" hints that it's the Kobali Lindsay Ballard.

Captain Kim, on the other hand, could either be the Kim #2 from Deadlock, the one that made it back to Earth, or perhaps he's Species 8472, like Cooper.

I mean really, what's the odds they could even find it, let alone even know that one was flung into the vacuum of space in the first place?

The ex-Voyager Kobali was there (As a human) when they lost the original Kim, so she knew roughly where to look. Add in a bunch of high-order mathematics, and you could probably work out the distance it would have travelled over 'X' amount of years, then its just a matter of searching a very limited arc of space.

What's interesting here, is that if stasis Harry is the one from Season #2 of VOY, then he's lost out on a good portion of the life that Admiral Harry has. Would Stasis Harry then have that much more of a story? He's still going to be an Ensign the poor chap.
Considering that we frequently see funerals as placing people in tubes and sending them into space - though space is quite vast - I believe the chances aren't all that bad.

I hope that's irony, because we have a lot of funeral in sea, and yet the seas are not a graveyard. In fact, the chance to find a floating body is really low. Slightly higher to find a body while fishing.
I would speculate that if Lindsey was found (by chance) she'd have been found in a Federation Torpedo tube (as is customary); is it not possible that the Kobali can scan space for the material of said Torpedo Tube? If the dead Harry was fired off in one himself, then it shouldn't have been that hard to detect.

Looking for a corpse in an ocean would normally be hard, unless you knew roughly where to look, and what you were looking for. In hindsight, it's a shame that there wasn't a storyline (on VOY) with Lindsey before we saw her in Kobali.
    [snip]

Who, or more disturbingly what, is Harry Kim?
I figure you're suspecting him to be an Undine?

He wasn't. He was blasted out of a hull breach.

But for a race of people who scavenge dead bodies, its not outside the realms of possibility that they have developed technology to detect corpses.

Why does everyone think that the 2 Harrys are from different dimensions?

They explicitly stated that Voyager along with crew got duplicated on a quantum level, with teh exception of the ship's antimatter.

That means both are equally real and from the same universe/dimension occupying roughly the same space

Same goes for Naomi. Except the cirmunstances on one ship caused him and baby Naomi to die, while circumstances cause the other to explode while Harry was chosen to save Naomi before that happened and switched ships.
Which makes sense as every other person would have existed twice.
It is essentially another Thomas Riker situation on a greater scale.

Lindsey knew about this and the coordinates in space where he would be found preserved by the vacuum of space to be retrieved and potentially revived.
