This is my review of my Fleet Corsair T-U

I like it.

The ships normal pre buffs hull went from 39,000 hull points to 44,800 which was a bigger buff then I was expecting at first.

With skills buffs and stuff my hull is almost 60,000 hull points.

So far I have 1 ship mastery level, gaining absorbitive hull giving me +25 resistance to kinetic and physical damage.

For now I put my voth charges console in the new tac slot, just for now, and took the Repair Platform console off my varanus and placed it on my Fleet Corsair T-U.

This combo is fun so far. I've just shot some borg (not in a qued event) and finished the Mindscape mission, but its fun so far.

The two Ship Mastery levels I'm most looking forward to is Rapid Repairs, which is the next ship mastery level and Quick Deploy, which is a really nice buff to my pets, and is the mastery level after quick repair.

My build for those who are curious is:

1 Fleet Elite Disuptor Cannon, 1 Protonic Experimental Weapon, 1 Biomolecular Torp (the set one), and the 1 Gravimetric Photon Torp in the front.

In the back 1 heavy biomolecular turret, 2 biomolecular photon mine launchers, and 1 Fleet Elite Disuptor Turret.

For consoles 2 Paricle Generators with plasma proc and +threat generation, 1 Nuetronuim Fleet Elite Armour, one Fleet Elite RCS, 1 vulneriblity locator disruptor consoles, MultiRay Tac Console, Voth Spatial Charge Launcher, Hydrolic Console, Disuptor Point Defence Console, Repair Platforms Console.

For active rep powers I have that shield resistance bubble, the romulan mini cloak, Tetyron Casade, and one other I forget what.

Set powers include Heavy Disuptor Turret Barrage, Protonic Sneeze.

    I'm a Tac Captian.

So far I'm very happy with my Fleet Corsair T-U.

Anyone else have an opinion on thier Fleet Corair T-U?

I'm a Engineer captain in the Fleet Corsair T5U.

Love it. Running 3 EWO Doffs to get Global outta FAW.
All Plasma, with the 3 Tac, 4 Embassy Sci consoles, Plus Zero Point. It's like a 4 2/3 Tac console ship with 8 weapons and a hanger bay.

Was torn between upgrading this or the Bortasqu first. Since I swap back and forth between them regularly with this toon. But, the Corsair is such a tank. Actually feels a little overkill on survivability. And now does great damage. I'll still upgrade the Bortasqu down the line but this is an amazing ship. Was already good, but now even better. So glad it got a 3rd tac console.

Good to hear good things about this ship. I've got one character who dabbles in flight-deck cruisers; he currently uses a Marauder, but I'm interested in changing, because 1) I'm intrigued by the Corsair's greater emphasis on Science, 2) the Marauder is the worst looking ship in the KDF (and before I typed that, I spent a few minutes looking at a Hoh'sus through a hole in a piece of cardboard, just to be sure).

Right now, though, I stick with the Marauder because the price is right.

I'm sure your DPS is great, but as Kahless said, "a petaQ with high system mastery is still a petaQ." (Well, he should have said it...!)

I love my T5U Fleet Corsair! The durability is great, plus it has a good mix of engineering and science seating for runing tbr (with the doff that inverts it from a push to a tow) and ewp with close to 100% uptime. Just max particle generators, and watch enemies hulls melt away :D

I do wish Cryptic would fix the issue with the ship tailor not working, though. Also, it's a minor issue, but I noticed that the ship outline in the shield distribution bar is showing a Fed connie instead of the Corsair.

Haven't jumped in mine yet but I did notice the small icon for mine, when selecting it at ship selector NPC shows it with a BoP icon lol

Perhaps you should make a report in the gameplay bug sub forum, I'd it myself, but I'm using a cellphone to type this.

PS anyone else noticing that thier getting more contraband? Maybe its my game play styls but I had given up on getting any contraband at all for the last two years.

I've gotten more then I have in the last three years since delta rising started, I think it has to do with the higher hps, the enemy is surviving long enough to get robbed (an Elite Slaver tries to steal onces very 15 seconds), plus my Elite Slavers are surviving pretty good and I don't even have quick deploy yet. When I do my haul should improve slightly (from more chances to steal).

Probably. I get 99% of mine from marauding though so never really notice.

I do see it firing off a lot more though so they are definitely having time to get more hits in.

Yeah usually I get most of mine from doff missions too, but they don't offer most of the ones that give contraband in the Delta Quadrant, so its nice to gain some from the Slavers. Also got my first prisoner doff that came from an Elite Slaver.
