surface tension and now borg: disconnected both have interruptions during combat which, quite frankly, is ANNOYING.
in the middle of a fight with multiple enemies you lose total control of your ship for some meaningless 7-8 seconds of video of something happening outside of your combat radius and the combat continues regardless.
it breaks up the continuity of the combat and can actually get you killed.
if i have to do borg: disconnected once a day for the rep marks, fair enough, but i won't be doing it for fun because it isn't.
Yup, irritating. During surface tension I died a couple times as the cutscene kicked in and finished with no warning leaving me unprepared to defend myself. Did you notice the lead-in 'movie' that did a recap of the entire FE and said something like 'part 2' as the mission started ? I was so confused I almost went to the fridge for a drink because I thought the commercial break was going to be longer.
It is really annoying, i'd much prefer them working cut scenes into preset gaps in combat between enemy groups or using an enemy/friendly regroup mechanic to break combat if needs be, that way you maintain a comfortable flow. As it is, when the option is available, i hit 'esc' and bypass it so i dont get dead.

I agree. The cutscenes need to wait either until the player is out of red alert (and can use full impulse) OR all combat activites must halt while the scene is playing, resuming after the cutscene ends.
I was pretty much on the verge of nerd raging several times because of these cutscenes. They have been doing this a lot lately i think with new FE stories and now they are doing it with the new instances. Well i think they need to knock it off. Dont interrupt me in the middle of a fight for a cutscene. Like the other dude said wait until AFTER we are all out of combat. Or just do it like you've done it in the past and have the pop up face on the left side of the screen with the audio.

I also love the cutscenes that escape doesn't work on.
