Apart from the obvious hilarity of DR zone chat ("Where's the Ocampa freighter" - people have forgotten to use their eyes it seems, must of been all the x,y,z stf's), one thing that made me chuckle was the people complaining about the "level wall".
I'd noticed straight away that older story line missions were giving low levels of exp compared to what was needed so started a selective doffing regime.
To gain exp to level look for the following types of missions
1. The more danger the greater the reward - if the mission is "Extreme" danger you will get more, Attend Nausicaan Promotion is a good one for KDF like this
2. The more doff slots the greater the overall boost - Any "Suppress Gorn on X" with 5 slots and rare is going to give good rewards, ANP mentioned above is 4 or 5 slots (cant remember offhand)
3. Increasing rarity unsurprsingly helps, but balance it against the amount of purple doffs you can send
4. A lot of the new doffing missions in DR have good exp rewards - mouse over them you may be surprised - A lot of the 12 hour "trade" missions are quite good
5. Increasing length of mission is sometimes useful but not always. 48hr espionage missions "Sabotage what not" looks good but the rare 8hr espionage will run it close overall.
6. Remember those Voth VR missions from flying around in the original Dyson sphere? Might be worth to pop over there and do a quick round up to see what you can get
7. Got access to a fleet mine? Do the 2 20hr mining missions, especially if you have 6 purp miners to send off as well.
Anyway those are some of my observations so far and I hope it helps people avoid Zone rage and move on up.
Bonus CXP weekend in a few weeks as well to lookout for - now that DR is out they seem to have filled the calendar up again.

The purple miners aren't a great choice for that assignment. For one, there is only one purple that fulfills 3 crit traits on each of the assignment (one of the Ferengi for the first, a Horta for the second) and quite a few that only have a single one. Secondly, slotting a miner will decrease your chance of critical success in favour of success, as the profession is a success and not a crit trait.
So slotting 3-5 miners won't be very effective. What you'd ideally want is 5 3-crit-trait doffs WITHOUT matching professions.
Ironically, those miners are also useless for quite a few other mining-related doff assignments, like "Dilithium Mining in an Unstable Asteroid Cluster", as those usually require Ops or resolve, which those miners don't have.
In addition to that, quite a few short missions will reward more on a reward/minute ratio than some if the bigger ones, so it might be worth to slot short ones if you plan on staying online for a while and being present to turn them in, while reserving the bigger ones for when you're not ingame.

You mean the busted bugged ocampa freighter that wasn't showing up last night for anyone in a few of the zones?
