Really Cryptic? DEVS READ THIS

Ok I get it you need and want money, But do you really need to charge us to upgrade tier 5 ships that we already spent money on to get in the first place? I used to be subscribed, as soon as season seven hit I lost it and unsubbed and will not subscribe back until Cryptic stops being a greedy corporation that only cares about new talentless players and pushes all of us Vet players like myself aside. Also 700 Zen per ship upgrade module? You guys don't have a $7 choice for zen it is $5 to $10 so you are seriously thinking that all of us are dumb? I have to spend 10 bucks on something to get an item worth $7? Im not going to do it. I keep wondering why you just don't care about things like this and only care about the all mighty dollar. Like I said I get it but why do you have to keep charging for things that don't need to be charged for. Also im tired of you catering to Noobies. For once I would like to see you stand your ground and stop nerfing great things AKA THE REP SYSTEM.

Anyway that's just my 2 cents and I hope you don't take this down because you cant take criticism.

I WILL SUBSCRIBE AGAIN WHEN THIS GAME BECOMES PLAYABLE. (Me and my friends are all boycotting this game until changes are made)

    Wow, entitlement issues much? I mean, seriously, all of this because of one extra payment option and because "How dare new players come into this game?!"

    Also, just bought 1k zen in your name (well, I bought 1k just because I read this, and I support this expansion, so wanted any cryptic employee to see not all of us dislike the expansion... So 1k bought, and not spent :) )

    Putting 'Devs Read This' in the title will not guarantee that they will... plus, if this thread is deleted, that will be the work of the community moderators, not the devs (but both parties can lock down threads that violate the rules)

    And also, saying things like this are essentially an 'I quit' post... which isn't allowed by the rules. Being unsatisfied is one thing, but not doing the research into the rules is another - you can state your opinion, but you have to do it right.

    Plus imo, and quite a few others, the upgrade token price is fair, and not even that big of an issue really. You could buy 500 Zen, and grind the rest with Dil, or just grind it all with Dil; you don't have to pay at all if you don't want to. And it's not a crime that the option to pay for it exists at all.
    Was named Trek17.

    Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.

    it's only 700 zen if you're not thinking enough to buy the four pack, where the price goes down 200 per token.

    and need a I remind you that the upgrade tokens affect every ship of that type on your account.

    For example if you upgrade one C-store Defiant or one Fleet version on one toon, it upgrades EVERY C-store and Fleet Defiant on your account. If a character does not have ether of those ships yet, when it gets it will be T5-U automaticly. So if you have five feds with both types of defiant on each, that's ten ships upgraded for one token.

    I would say that's very worth the cost.

    As to the OP... I'm a little confused. Are you saying that you DON'T want free patches and free Expansions? Or are you saying that you don't want to have to work for the "ub3r 1337" gear and such? :confused:

    Because all I got from that ramble was something about $5 and then I started thinking about that whole $5 Footlong thing I saw on TV. :P

    Yep, people are happy to spend $7 on a burger or a beer, but Cryptic asks the same for a service and they're money grubbing scum...

    I agree that 700 is a lot for a mere upgrade, but I'm not going to flip out and quit playing over it. I'm just not going to buy any.

    YOU STUPID *******- the devs dont care- its why they've been stacking up the grinds to do and calling it new seasons. Why would you think they care? They delete all critique that isnt kissing butt.

    STAR TREK EXCALIBUR is in the works, and like, 2 other ST MMORPGS. just hold out for them. They're made by fans, not scammers.

    Personally, I think the 700 Zen per token is a fair price. Especially considering that it's an account wide upgrade of that particular ship. Also... Lets say you have a Fleet version of a ship and you use an upgrade token on it... Then, every other character that you have on your account and also runs that ship, but not necessarily the Fleet version, but the normal version, that "Normal Version" ship also gets upgraded. Even though you might have used your 700 zen token on a Fleet version of that ship in the first place.

    For example... You use your token on a toon that flies the Fleet Avenger. Every other toon's "Avenger" on your account gets upgraded. Whether it's the fleet version or not.

    So, in conclusion... The 700 Zen upgrade token is well worth it.

    You don't have to buy anything, you can always grind and farm out the dil and exchange it for zen. Or wait till they get put on the exchange and buy them from there.

    Or you can throw a temper tantrum like a 3 year old.

    despite the way the OP put this, i kind of agree, i understand the t5 upgrade token.

    but making free ships, mirror ships and fleet mark ships un-upgradable is a sham

    as pointed out, you need to pay 2500 for the ship you want, then yet more for the token to t5-u

    i don't like it, i have indeed spent money on this game, but this has made this game pay2win this is wrong

    That's pretty good if you have 4 classes of ships that you use regularly across all your toons, or maybe want to sell one or two on the exchange for a lot of EC and want to use the others. But if your account is mainly made of, let's say, ENG Toons that fly the Avenger, then the 4 pack isn't really necessary. Unless you want to sell a few on the exchange, like I said. :)

    You don't have to Pay2Win... You can still Play2Win by grinding the Dil to buy Zen. Nothing is "Making" anyone "Pay" for anything.
