Petition for T6 Carrier

As a dedicated carrier commander on my main Klingon I'd like to petition and request that a T6 carrier be introduced with all the bells and whistles of T6 ships. I'd also like to ask for a third hanger slot on the carrier, so I can have 4 wings of combat fighters and some support craft as well. Thank you. PS: Make it Klingon. Not Orion. Not Ferasian. Not random alien race. KLINGON!

As the faction that debuted carriers, a T6 Klingon thoroughbred carrier should be a "simple" task.
I'll be hanging for an Orion Warbarge FDC!
But the fourth T6 KDF ship should definitely be a Carrier.
Although I would like to see what a genuine t6 Klingon carrier whould look like

Physical model notes: Bigger then a Vorcha, smaller then a Neg Var. have the wings of the primary hull overly think as these would represent the fighter pays/BOP docking hardpoints (use the B-Bop model, and buld the ships model layout around the docking of 2 to 4 of those B-BOP's nestled in to the aft side of the engineering hull.

turn mode: The ship its self is not expected to be the combattant, sufficent turn mode as to not be a hazard to navigation: Say, 5 tp 7. Fast acceleration, high momentum.. she'll answer the helm on a slew turn, but don't expect her to actually make headway on the new course quickly.
Weapons: 2 forward, 2 aft. (yes, 4 weapon slots, thats it. the ships weapons are for self defence only.. your small craft are THE main battery.
Cloak: Standard
Device slots 5 (Yes, 5)
Console slots: engineering 4 science 2 tactical 2 (upgraded versions add engineering and science console slots)
Hanger Bays: 3, preferably4. Bays can carry fighters or raiders
ship class powers per crusers.. and additional special powers or choices should be purely defensive attributes.
This ship is tasked with getting its wing to battle. and only its wing.. it is a pure carrier, not a hybrid cruiser carrier. It can defend its self, and even hang on and wait for help, but without its small craft its no more heavily armed then an large armed star liner.
Now if you could just send your small craft to attack target at a much longer range... say 50,000 kilometers. the "envelope" for small craft ops in STO are.. silly short. Surely a dedicated war ship has sufficient power to catch a lumbering carrier? (assuming it can survive the fighters/bops in its way?)
The whole idea here is to project firepower beyond normal weapons ranges.. start shooting at the bad guys with your attrition units long before they're in range to trash your ride home.
The Carrier its self should for the most part sit at a distance under cloak, with 1/4 or 1/3 of its attrition units held back to provide a CSP while the rest of its group goes a hunt'n.
As you can see the ship its self is nothing overly spectacular.. it is essentially a minimally armed barge with crappy manuverability, It's fast, but lumbering. Shields are exceptionally strong, but hull strength is weak on the side due to the structure of the ship. Fire power in minimal, and BOFF seating is also minimal, with 2 Lt Universal slots to provide some diversity. Console slots are what you would expect on a cruiser class ship.
Get to the battle area, launch your small craft, cloak, and get out of the way and let for wing do its job.
Romulans and Feds may both have carrier type ships... but KDF should have the clearly superior pure carrier class ships.
But those are T5u ships and there are no T6 Carriers. For now. And T6 has far more potential than T5u. The fact that there are already T6 Lobi/Lockbox ships and Fleet T6 are coming, T5u is good and buried, IMO. Not saying you can't play them or do great things with T5u, but even the best of T5u are not on the same level as T6.
T6 Carriers, Science Vessels are a bit of a gaping hole in T6 ship lineups, though the Feds are better off with their selection so far.
For the KDF specifically, we'd need T6:
Bird of Prey
Carrier
Science Vessel
At least 1 of each. The Qib Intel BC and Mahahahaha Raptor are covering the BC and Raptor selection for now.
The Kazon Raider is a horrible Raider. I don't know of the Aquarius' revamped stats, but of all the Raiders that I have (Fleet Norgh, Fleet Hoh'sus, C-Store B'Rel, Breen Raider, 2 Kazon Raiders still boxed), when I look at the Kazon Raider, I just feel it underwhelming. There is nothing in the Kazon Raider's stats that make you say, "Oh, that's interesting." To top it off, at best it's only a T5u with 4 TAC Consoles, no cloak, standard raider weapons layout, nothing exceptional in handling, speed, durability.
There is nothing special about the Kazon Raider. T5u BOPs, all of them, curb stomp the Kazon Raider completely in what Raiders are supposed to be about. Most esp when you consider the B'Rel at T5u gets 4 TAC Consoles now on top of all the B'Rel perks.

I'm just wondering who it was in the KDF that threw you over the table and violated you that badly to be hurt so much, so badly. Do the scars still hurt that much when you sit down?
With all the gimmicks, all the ships, all the dev attention that the Feds have gotten, for you guys to feel so oppressed and inferior after all these years?
- Despite the additions of 5 TAC Console Escorts for years while the KDF had none until just now with DR.
- Despite the access to capable TAC Cruisers with the likes of the very solid Sovereigns, Excelsiors, for years, and later the Avengers, only to be capped off recently with the likes of the equally capable T6 Guardians and Eclipses.
- Despite the access to the ungodly amount of capable T6 ships (6 Fed vs 2 KDF vs 2 Rom) along with rock solid, wider selection of T5 Starship Masteries.
- Despite the access for years to unquestionably, hands down, vastly superior selection of very capable faction-specific Science Vessels of all kinds of styles. An advantage that still continues to this day.
- Despite the devs over the years giving away the best of KDF Universal Consoles to the Feds while the KDF got nothing worthwhile in return.
- Despite the sheer amount of dev attention over the years in providing more ships with good capability over the years (the contrast in ship selection is laughably bad between the factions).
With all this and probably more I'm forgetting that the devs have thrown to the Feds, despite all these advantages, for you Feds to feel so oppressed, feel so inferior, so scared of the "Klingon Boogeyman" (red used for scary emphasis)... we've done a good number on you guys.
Desptie all the advantages given to the Feds, for you to feel so scared, so angry still... We whipped you guys. With Skill. Despite there being vastly more of you. Despite the advantages and attention the devs provided the Feds over the years. You guys are still the angry little schoolboy that was wronged from long ago and could never overcome the initial humiliation, despite Daddy giving you everything.
I'll send you some ointment so you can sit down better without hurting so much :cool:
