Why would I bother?

So I've just finished running Gorn Minefield. The mission is as it ever was, only enemies are far tougher to kill and thus the run takes twice or thrice as long.

I mean that's not a problem in itself... but I finished it and got awarded about 240 Dilithium. Two hundred and forty.

What's the point? In what scenario do I want to spend more time earning less? Sorry Cryptic, but this isn't going to encourage me to spend more. It's just plain driving me away from the Dilithium economy.

I only did a very few like 2 PvE queues. But the ones I did they made things tougher but made the rewards less.

That's because Cryptic are greedy, moneygrubbing deviants and no fan of Star Trek. They don't play their own game because they know how bad it is. I used to blame a large part of this on PWE's influence, but lately I am blaming more and more the one person who makes all the decisions at Cryptic.

The combo of slower victory and smaller reward is not fun. I can be open to the hope it leads to deflation in the economy, but all the same it's not fun and I'm not that much of an optimist.

Request for anyone answering this thread:

Please (please) post your ship tier level (T5, T5-U, Fleet T5, Fleet T5-U, T6)

Help us to understand what level of starship you're taking into STFs, PUGs...

It's going to be interesting to see if ship tiers are affecting the game play. I wouldn't blame consoles, abilities -- or the player's personal skills. I'm wondering if the STFs/PUGs are being purposefully inflated to drive players to upgrade from T5 to T5-U (or Fleet T5-U) or T6.

IMHO, if most everyone is having problems with T6, or Fleet T5-U, then Cryptic bears responsibility to make some corrections. Or lose players (aka customers).

Tucan, stop spamming that. It has nothing to do with your ship, because if you read the text your level is adjusted.

It makes no difference if I'm in a T5 or a T-5U, or a T-6, if the freaking BoPs have 600,000 hitpoints EACH, and 3 waves of 3 launch repeatedly.

Just doing the math alone, some missions require EVERY member of a 5-player STF to now have over 15,000 dps, that's PER SECOND, on average, INCLUDING lulls and delays. That has nothing to do with your ship used. That's just pure Craptic bull****.

It has nothing to do with the tier of your ship, not really. A tier 5 ship doing an (old) elite stf SHOULD be doing at the very least 10k dps. A "good" t5 ship is doing between 15 and 25k in most stf's. The problem here is that they have been buffed far too much in terms of enemy HP, and while it's doable for what people "should" be doing.. only around 1/20 players seems to be doing what they "should" be capable of. It's not hard to hit that mark if you try, but very few seem to have any clue how bad they really are. Now they're seeing that, and even elite players can't finish a pugged advanced because they can't pull the rest of the dead weight anymore.
