I did watch Cpt Smirks, live stream but as usual all new STFs come with ZERO instructions. The team I was on managed to save 6 probes, which is apparently an insta fail since we only got 10 marks for it. Great job on the probes, they are now tougher then spheres... (A LOT TOUGHER!)

    Just had Crystaline Catastrophe completely destroy us. After 30-ish minutes, we gave up.

    Thought advanced was the same as the old elite? I've done it a half dozen times a day for around a month. Even with short teams due to drops we were able to.

    So here are some stats for Infected Conduit (Advanced)...

    Borg Cubes = 711K hull (alive), 288K hull (dead)
    Borg Spheres = 568K hull (alive), 233K hull (dead)
    Nanite Generators = 218K hull
    Transformers = 2.4mil hull
    Gate = 6milish+ hull

    When you enter this STF you immediately fight 1 cube and 4 spheres. Transformers are now guarded by a cube and a sphere. Every 2 generators you kill adds two spheres to the game (so when all 4 generators are dead you have 4 spheres immediately engaging you). By the time you take out the transformer, another 8-12 sphers spawn from the gate. It took my team 9mins just to kill all these spheres. We failed the optional as a result of time and by failed the optional I mean we auto failed the mission.

    Here's your 10 marks, next! I must say, I am very pround to have been in a match where 2 teammates had the new Tier 6 ships (excort and guardian cruiser) and both of them died a handful of times. However, my Voth pallisade never died despite all the tanking I had to do as a result of the gravity well spam I was using on spheres.

    Advanced is also intended for 60, despite the scaling. If you notice, it scales you up to 60.


    Suggest leveling up yer ship and getting all yer new traits and stuff before trying.

    There's nothing worse for this game than when Cryptic decides to try and "improve the gameplay experience" by "adding the challenge all the players were asking for"

    They can't balance difficulty if their lives depended on it. It's always one extreme or another....

    Excellent point. As has been noted, TRIBBLE, Gas or Grass...nobody rides for free

    yes, we were hoping that advanced would stay the same as the old elite and the harder content be in the elite.

    However I thought the failure if optionals failed in advanced was a good enough tweak to it and leave it be.
